Q8bunny he is better than a blanket to snuggle anyday
Jerseygirl wow! I can only imagine how amazing it would be to stumble across koalas Casually on my walk!!! Or cockatoos or lorikeets – so many amazing animals. Ive owned parrots that cost $300-$ 1000 here that you have sitting in your backyards … crazy to think about really …. but you have snakes and hideous huntsman spiders – you kind of deserve some amazing animals in your backyards with those ones to deal with haha!

I guess no-one will be surprised to hear Latte and the buns are getting extra spoilt this week…
So far today, they have nommed kale, carrot tops and parsley. Tonight, The 15 kg bag of redigrass I ordered as a special treat arrived, and they all had loads of room left to tuck in with great enthusiasm

They’re FAMOUS !! (Nicki?! LOL)ReadiGrass is also great for small animals such as rabbits. For these animals, it is available in small 1Kg bags under the name of Friendl

Everyone has such cute buns, I guess I’m early this time when it comes to posting pics. Zeke is turning one this Sunday, so we’re having a small part for him. As crazy as this may sound. I’m making some bunny friendly cakes for him, plus a dog friendly one for the ol’ dog. I bought him some new toys, plus a new cage. Also, I’m making a carrot cake the family to eat.
Is this weird having a b-day for your bun?

Zeke is a cutie! Happy Birthday to him. I don’t think it’s weird at all to have a party at all. I had a little one for Olaf last year. Granted, it was just a friend and I but we made carrot cake for ourselves and a fun salad for the bun (fresh greens, chopped carrot, parsley, and dried papaya sprinkles). All served in a fancy Olaf-sized bowl for the utmost sophistication, of course.

Gina. I was wondering seeing as hay is relatively light, how big a 15kg bag would be….?. !!
but fear not, where there’s a will, there’s a way…. id strap it in to the passenger seat….
With some help measuring from Gina and Podge, I’d say approx. 30 x 50 x 70 cm. Could you maybe transfer say a third or a quarter at a time to a big shopping bag or cardboard box, and bring it back over a few trips?

I was going to post 2 photos of Henry (well, I have!
) but the difference in real life is much more obvious than the photos show.Up till now (only had him 4 months!!) he has been a light sandy colour all over, no black at all…. but he is going through a face mask moult and his face and head are turning French lop charcoal-y colour.
and he is getting a darker bum too…. 
With Zou… moulting? who knows? Can’t tell !! LOL

Very different bunny shapes but there’s not much in it when in ZZZZZzzzzzz mode…
But it’s Zou who shows her sit-ups have worked with her healthy SIX pack !!!
And shows when it come to gnawing xpen bars, nothing will stop her !!!

Thought you molting-bunny parents might appreciate this little gem I saw on Facebook. Pretty accurate when you use one of these things on your clothes after grooming your bun.

In an effort to post more piccies of Winter and Licorice, I took some of Licorice while he was hopping around in the morning.
He tried to rob the pantry with me watching. Very stealthy indeed .
,I think he may be hosting a cooking show in which he lost his secret ingredient. If more attempts if rabbits trying to cook arise, it’s most likely because of him.
Notice in picture 2 his little black spot on his neck. Blurry, but I can never capture it. Awww.

My dog knew how to too. I have horizontal door handles that you push down, so it was easy once she understood the knack.
So i just turned them around to be vertical instead. Haha she never worked out how to push to the left…. (visitors to my house were stumped too!!! Lol) -

Breintje sat next to me on the couch as I was inspecting the damage and taking a pic of it. When I asked: “Who chewed my curtains?” I got this exact face, which speaks volumes. “Oh shoot, she’s onto me!”

Olaf tries to make the great escape into my bedroom all the time. He’s always peeking through the crack (old house, warped door frame) and will sometimes lie in wait on the other side to try and sabotage my entrance.

Vienna, when Yohio molted he became a beautiful peach color and his head a darker grey, but when the fluff grew out again he was back to pale yellow. Bam looks black but his fluff is a light grey.Olaf and Zeke must be brothers? Cousins?

Everyone had such cute bunnies! Here is my new bun! As most of you know he doesnt have a name yet! I am working on finding on that fits just right. But here he is trying out some veggies for the first time! He only had a few nibbles and then decided he would rather go play! He loves his floor time!

Chester wanted to go on the bed a couple nights ago. Like, really wanted to go on the bed. He poked and prodded at me while I was working at my desk for a good half hour. Silly bun! Then he decided he didn’t need me to keep him company and this happened:

Wybunny1 – chesters colour- that colour lop is over here often in lops – Harlequin , seems to be more common now. Black and orange, fawn and blue , fawn and lilac varieties. And magpie is beginning to show up for sale here too

Could someone please add the photos for me?
Been playing around with hay rack ideas lately as I have been having trouble finding one Oakley won’t reject and refuse to eat from – I have finally found a metal one he would eat from but I worry about his eyes on it … he’s the only bunny I’ve ever had that is fussy about what his hay is in!!!!
Anyway – I came up with this this morning made from one of his seagrass mats – he loves it! It’s safe , easy and most importantly he really likes it

Wybunny1 – I’m in agreement with the others suggestion of sully – Sullivan . He fully has a monsters inc sullys face! Too cute!!
Reese – I can’t do the hay lose in tray as Oakley gets soft stools, unformed cecals and even proper diarreah at times due to intermittent soft stool syndrome and reduced cecal intake – you can imagine the mess…
Unfortunate my seagrass rack didn’t work he didn’t eat enough hay and I was up till 4am last night with a very sick bunny
He’s fine now but I’m stuck again for the idea rack idea!!
He currently has a bowl of hay temporarily but he has pulled it all through his tray so can’t do this long term.
He won’t get from hay balls / wooden hay mangers
The seagrass upset his tum
Can’t have it loose for reasons above
If it’s a open top hay rack he jumps inI’m thinking of making a fabric hay bag … I’ve seen some on eBay and etsy and google images … don’t know if he would eat from it or if he would pull it all out ( both issues for him with his tummy ) but I’m out of options !!!

Just gonna drop this here. My bonded quad! Still haven’t caught all four cuddling (somebun always seems to be eating or roaming around, but they all cuddle with each other basically all the time).
Don’t mind the mess. They’re in a pen that I’m gradually making bigger. But so far been 48h since they’re home and not a single fight, lots and lots of mutual grooming and cuddling! The cardboard boxes are to prevent them from pushing the fence aroind.

Here’s one from Breintje I made today, I call it: “The look of ultimate defeat”. Little mister I-won’t-be-brushed is shedding all over the place, and I’ve been sneezing for two days because of all the hair floating around.
Every time I try to brush him I only get the chance to make 2 strokes and then he decides that he’s too ticklish and runs away. So I put an anti-slip mat on the dining table, covered it with a towel and started to give him a firm brushing. Having nowhere to go he finally sat still for it, and I managed to get most of the loose fur out with some brushing and gentle plucking. I misted his fur with some water which prevented the fur from flying through the house.
He seems to feel better now: less excessive grooming etc. I’ve even gotten a few licks, so I guess I haven’t fallen from grace completely

Sampras and Yumi spent their first valentines together, and seeing as my attempts at human romance went down the drain, I decided the rabbits would at least have a romantic evening
Rabbits dont much care for romance when there’s a chance that the other bun might have nicer food than the food you currently have…

Well last night we decided to explore the whole house (supervised of course) and it proved to be quite exhausting! This is the after math of the exploring, he came back to his room and flopped outside his cage.
I am pretty excited as we have been bonding quite a lot lately! He is starting to follow me around when I walk somewhere! Its so cute!

Give him a ball or a toy he can mount, stretch out on the rug with him to get a clear view of his nether regions, and you should be able to see them if he mounts the toy. Lure him if necessary with a tiny treat. If he doesn’t mount, chances are pretty good they haven’t yet dropped, says my fabulous bunny vet

Awwww @ all the flops. Not sure what I love more: flops or binky pics!
Sterling wants everyone to know that,despite the 2 huge snowstorms we had this week and the more than 65cm of snow that came down, it in no way interrupted his week of leisure and naps.
And my poor little Bindi Bear, back at the vet today. I’m going to update his thread in the Q&A section about his vet visit.

Little puffy tail – Oakley can go for one anytime haha- he’s the floppiest snuggest laziest laxer ever – all he does is sleep in cute positions and make us all go “awww look at him now!” 24hours a day haha

Aww, some bunnies have all the luck with their genetics. Showbun as a dad… Pff, you can’t beat that ^_^
Prime example today of why we always put Breintje in his travel cage whenever we have to do some cleaning. Breintje was his usual meddling bossy self again today. Everything you do has to be investigated, disrupted and/or corrected on the spot. He follows you around and will lunge at the vacuum, nip at brushes and whenever he gets the chance he will pee in the empty cage that you just scrubbed clean.
While Bas was cleaning his cage, I swept up all the hay that had fallen on the floor behind his hay rack. I have this handy broom&dustpan set on a stick. During sweeping Breintje climbed into the dustpan and started to eat all the hay. Even a gentle prodding with the broom couldn’t convince him to find another spot. Cute, but definitely not helping, bunny!

Well I am not sure what got into Mosby, but recently he has been sprinting around the room like crazy! I tried to catch some pics because he was a binkying fool, but he was too fast! He also has decided he would really like to eat the cat food which is up on the table so hes stretching to see if he cant get a piece! What a crazy bun!

I have an app called Sketches Pro 2 on my ipad that lets me watercolour paint on the screen with a paintbrush (a real one) stylus. I’m terrible at art in actual life, but I’ve discovered that if I stare at a picture of the chewster long enough, I can copy it in watercolours layer by forgiving digital layer We are off from work (and by ‘we’ I mean the only employed person in this family, not Chewbacca) for a whopping nine days (today being Day 3
). Hollys always fly by much too quickly… PS I feel your pain at having a stubbornly only-child

And yeah I’m glad Oakley is happy and healthy he comes first and having another isn’t good for him so won’t happen – I just hope the wee blind boy goes to a good home so I can stop feeling guilty that I can’t take him like I want too! -

And yeah I’m glad Oakley is happy and healthy he comes first and having another isn’t good for him so won’t happen – I just hope the wee blind boy goes to a good home so I can stop feeling guilty that I can’t take him like I want too!
Oh OM, you need to try pick it up again for YOU time! Easier said then done I suppose, with little ones. You probably fall into bed at night.
Just thinking.. it would be great if your FB pages hold those silent acutions to raise money for rabbit causes. You could donate a piece and be able to help out that way. We can’t help each individual rabbit that pulls the heart strings unfortunately. Know though, there would have been others like you that felt for that little lop and someone is likely in a position to be able to take him. Plus, blind rabbits cope incredible well. To the point you wouldn;t even think they were blind sometimes!

My neighbour picked up some veggies for me when she went shopping this morning, including some carrots with a big bunch of carrot tops. I have enough to feed Breintje for a week on these, and it’s his favourite too!
So I gave him some fresh carrot tops instead of his usual morning pellets, and he just sat there on his bottom staring up at me confused. Is this breakfast? Uhm, no pellets? Hehehe, they’re such creatures of habit… -
