Here is my new cage for my two tiny under 3lbs bunnies! This is my Doberman’s crate he no longer uses. Has a base level and 3 upper levels. There is no litter box right now since they show no interest/refuse to learn how to use one.

        What do you guys think??!

Looks good, although I’d put somethign more solid on the levels, so they don’t fall through the holes in the grids

That looks nice and roomy! Hope you don’t mind a suggestion. You can put some lengths of dowel rod or timber along the full length under the levels. It helps stabilise them. You may have already secured them, I can’t quite see.

Is it Fudge, the small brown one? She looks different – shedding out her fur for a more defined skirt and mane. Less of a fuzz ball ! They both look happy exploring the new space.

I am using my doberman’s old crate as well!!! It is huge for a bunny and yours are so cute and tiny in there! I have only one shelf that I purchased from Lowe’s. It is just regular shelving material. I am supporting it with square dowel rods. I love using a huge dog crate because there is enough room for levels AND a large litter box. It is easy to clean as well. I’ll post pics of it as soon as I clean up the area around it a little better.

That looks great! I had the same two thoughts as Monkey and Jersey… something solid on the levels (cardboard, chloroplast, or linoleum would work) and a dowel or two running underneath to support their weight. Also, try putting a big litterbox in there anyways… even if only half the poop and pee gets in the box, at least it’s something and that will get them accustomed to using it.

I as well use my germand shepherd cross’ crate, he got way too big for it and i bought a new one for him and gave this one to the buns. i dont have any levels in it yet for im unsure how to put them in, so any ideas would be great! the tall crate is a waste of space without levels! here is pics of the buns crate, i know it looks borning. nevermind the cats, they see the flash and just HAVE to be in there…

I used ‘NIC’/’C&C’ panels for the levels. The horizontal bars that the dog crate is held together is a pretty good measure for where to ad a level. Idk how big your buns are, but if they are small like mine, you can add a level to every horizontal bar. If not, you might have to do every other one.
You are lucky you still have the plastic pull out tray. My dobie is 85lbs and used to dig at it so he cracked it down the middle and I had to toss it. That tray is so expensive for the size I need…
