Hi everyone! I am looking into getting clover a new carrier and was wondering what some of you bunny Veterans prefered. Should I get something bigger like For a dog so I can put a small litter pan and maybe food and water. Her vet is about 45 Minutes-1 hour away from me depending on traffic so I want her to be comfortable. Or do bunnies like small carriers so they feel more secure? Or maybe there’s a happy medium? Thanks in advance!!!

Not yet haha. But she’s little so she’s still discovering her likes and dislikes. Right now she prefers chewing plastic things (like moms flip flops haha)

I use a black and blue small carrier from Amazon for Wick’s visits to the vet (10min). It’s enough for him to move and turn and lounge, and I can just plop a pillow case and pee pad in it and replace as needed if he pees.

For long car rides, I have a medium sized carrier that attaches via seat belt, also found on Amazon. Generally, I’d say avoid putting things in larger carriers because one abrupt brake will make objects fly into your rabbit, or your rabbit fly into an object. For long car rides, it’s best to make pit stops for a litter break and food and water.

Thanks for the links! Unfortunately with the vet being so far we’re not going to be making any 10 minute rides so maybe a larger one would make her feel more comfortable. Thanks!!

I use a Petmate blue-and-black carrier (forget the exact model, but it’s one of the ones with a top opening) that’s big enough for Panda and Fernando to ride in reasonable comfort (in a litterbox, of course, properly loaded with litter and hay).

For a single bun, I love this one, because it flips open on top (easy to get buns in and out of), and has a little door for petting them:
