        Hey Bunny Fam

As I have experienced such beautiful support here I wanted to reach out, cause I don’t know if I can make the impossible possible today and go to the vet… Also, I have planned on getting our second bun on Sunday and am a bit worried with too much going on if I would need to go to the vet on Monday…

So… I just noticed this dry and crusty kind of patch. We were at the vet 3 weeks ago, everything fine! I do see her well, happy and relaxed. But as she doesn’t like to be touched on her ears at all, I haven’t noticed it but today. (Might be there for 2-5 days…)

It feels crusty or kind of hard to the touch. As it is also visible on the back a bit, I didn’t want to check if it is kind of loos probably when pulling gently. It seems as if it is a hard area there… The pictures are a bit too bright, it seems darker. It is on the lower end though. She is a mini lop and I can’t see any mites or something similar… I don’t remember that she could have injured herself neither…

If anyone can see anything, please reach out… so appreciate your thoughts.
        Thanks a lot!

It looks like a scab. Could she have hurt herself, f ex while cleaning her ears with her mouth.

I had a bun who got sores that looked like that in his ears. My vet believed it was a reaction to a vaccine. The sores healed, but it took a surprisingly long time, at least two weeks before the scabs fell off.

This looks dry, which is very good.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! It helped me a lot, to stay a bit calmer… Sorry for getting back so late…. So just a quick update, in case somebody sees something similar…

I could go to the vet the next day and turned out yes, she must have hurt herself and it got crusted… The vet just “Pulled” it a bit and it “fell off” as the tissue was already dead tissue… It didn’t hurt at all and I don’t even have to put any med on topically… And the skin is good as I can see and once some hair grows in, it won’t be noticeable either visibly…

I am a bit shocked I didn’t notice earlier… But glad, everything turned out fine… Again thanks for your support

It looks like a scab. Or it could be a keratinized papilloma, those are common on the ear.
