Hi, my 4yro girl, Princess has started plucking hair and making a nest behind my bed. Shes normally a very cuddly bunny but she wont even let me near her. I am unable to pay for her spay right now. I feel really bad, is there anything I can do for her? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Give hermaterial and allow her to build a nest  It’is a deep instinct she has, and its stressful for her if she can’t act on it.

False pregnancies in rabbits resolve spontaneously. There’s really nothing you can do to speed up the process.

Oooh. I’m so sorry you are going through this. 🙁

My girls did LOTS of these too, unfortunately. What you can do, is give her extra hay, scatter it around her pen so that she finds it, and feels more fulfilled that way. Cotton was a great thing that my ladies loved too. Does she have a place to build the next? If she doesn’t give her an area too, and if or when she does – don’t touch it. 😥

We are always here for you, and I am again, so sorry you are going through this! <3 😥

I’m sorry, false pregnancies are always stressful for bunny and owner. Fingers crossed it will pass soon.

I don’t know if you are aware of the cancer risk with intact females, but at four years old she is very likely to have abnormal cell growth already, at the very least. I would advise you to get her spayed as soon as finances allow. Some vets actually do payment plans. 🙂
