Ugh…my mouse already has some kind of bump on his face..I didn’t expect something from Sunny.

Last night I noticed Sunny’s eye (the part where I put arrows, below) has seemed a few shades darker red then her other. It’s her left I believe. Sometimes she has it shut. Her ‘good’ eye looks like below, and the what’s it’s name (?) I arrow-ed is darker on the left hand side. I also lifted her eyelid to see if anything was infected, and saw some (very little bit) of yellow. Usually it’s clear. But that was last night, and now it’s clear, but her little ‘outside’ part is still darker on the left, and halfway shut. Any ideas? (BTW, picture isn’t sunny, something I grabbed off interwebz)

I would take her to a vet. She may have an infection.

Hmmm…it’s really hard to know by just what you are describing. I do know that red eyed rabbits are very sensitive to light.

Are you certain that is just not her coloring around the eye?

It’s never been this dark, I would’ve noticed. And both sides have always been the same color.

Then it is possible it’s irritated and I would take her to the vet.

OT but that’s a fantastic eye picture!! It’s so clear!

And on topic-check with a vet

Yeah it could be an infection or just something that scratched her eye. If it’s a scratch, the vet will probably put some stuff in her eye that then will show up under an ultraviolet light to see if there are any tiny injuries. Even if it’s a small irritation, they can give some drops to help it heal, and of course, if there is something else going on like an infection or ?? then that would be treated. So I also recommend a vet visit.
