Lately DJ has been drinking one of these two quart waterers in four days.   http://www.smarter.com/cat-feeders-waterers/petmate-x-small-le-bistro-waterer-in-planet-blue/pd–ch-44–pi-172224.html.   Which equals up to twice a day litterbox cleaning

Not sure what to tell you.

Have you changed his diet recently?

No not at all everything is the same except the leg incident but it already started before that.

Freya drinks about 12-16 ounces of water a day. Her poos are normal and she still eats a lot so I never thought her drinking that much was abnormal. I just assumed all bunnies drink a lot.

I’d keep an eye on it, but meanwhile you can wash your greens and leave them wet so some of his water intake comes from those. Drinking water is really good for most mammals, humans especially, but sometimes can indicate a disease. (Diabetes? Is that right?) Anyway, you also might check to see if his pellets are healthy enough, since excess salt can cause thirst too.

Changes are what to watch for-sooo if this isn’t really a change? Some buns do drink more then others. but sometimes it can be problesm. I’d keep a close eye.

I agree that it’s the “change” that is important. Some bunnies do drink more than others, but if you have a bunny that normally doesn’t drink that much and all of a sudden drinks alot, then something is going on. I would recommend that you have him checked out by a vet to be sure there isn’t some sort of illness going on that is causing excessive drinking.
