Hey guys I have two bunnies who currently live separately but I am thinking about trying to bond them. I havnt tried yet because I don’t know how well it will go because they there is an age difference (not super huge but I know its at least 2 years because my older bun was an adult when we got him and we don’t know his actual age ) and a size difference (Casper is about 5 or 6 pounds, so a pretty average sized bun and thumper is a big breed about 9 pounds) but it couldn’t hurt to try. Anyways the space I would be housing them in if the bonding did work well is a combination of a large 4 foot dog crate attached to a large 8 panel ex-pen. The combined square footage is 26 square feet and I know the minimum for two buns is 12 feet per bun but thumps is bigger so he’d need more than that. I do have one 4 foot squared raised platform in the kennel and I am planning to put a raised 8 foot squared platform in the pen to add extra room. This would just be their housing area and they would get a lot of free roam time every day. So the total combined square feet of the kennel, pen, and platforms combined would be 38 square feet. Is this enough space that they would be comfortable? I just want to double check before I move forward with any plans to bond the two because this is the biggest possible I could go without rearranging the room it would be in. Thanks in advance guys :)))
