My mom picked up an eggplant for the buns and we don’t know how to give it to them since we never worked with eggplant before, heck today was the first day I touched an eggplant! Same as my mom. Anyway do you peel it and cut it or just cut it up for them? How do you give it to your bun? Plus, technically an eggplant is a fruit so how often do you give them eggplant?

Small amounts of eggplant can be given to rabbits in moderation, but a lot of rabbits may not like the spongy consistency, and I don’t know that a lot of people have offered it to their rabbits.  It can be found on some lists of veggies and fruits for rabbits, but it’s not one of the more common ones.  Be sure to never give them the leaves or the green tops.  Eggplant is a member of the nightshade family. which is known for containing trace amounts of toxic compounds.  The leaves and tops are especially poisonous and should never be given to a rabbit.
