Vet diagnosed bunny with middle/outer ear infection. Been giving my bunny baytril ear drops 2x per day for the last 7 days and she seems to be scratching even more.

What have you found that helps. Should I continue with the medication?

I may take her for an ear swab tomorrow.

Depending on the dosage, the vet may prescribe Baytril for up to 10 days. If the antibiotic is ineffective, then they may up the dosage for a second round or they may try a different antibiotic. Has your bunny’s ear drum ruptured?

My recently passed Bindi had chronic ear infections. Ditto, what LBJ10 mentions. In the past, my vet has also added oral Baytril and/or done a culture to determine the exact type of bacteria. Baytril is not very effective for some types of bacteria, although, it is for the more common types. Bunny ear infections can be very stubborn.
