i have been changing Lulu’s cage setup a lot but i think i found one that’s a good enough size, but i have just added a shelf in her cage that she LOVES! she is always underneath it or on top of it, to tell the truth i haven’t seen her not on it or under it sense i put it up except to eat. so i was thinking i could make her a cage out of nic grids that would have shelves to jump up on and go underneath but the thing is i am afraid i am changing her setup to much. but what if she likes the new setup better? so i am wondering if i should add on to her cage that she has now ( like put more shelves in) or make a nic condo type thing

These are the typ of cages i think she would like.

this is my favorit and i think this would be hers to but you need 51 nic panles and i only have like forty somthing.

this one is two cages hooked together ( made for un bonded bunnys) but i would only make one, and i have enough nic grids to make one. but the thing is it is kinda like her cage now cuz her cage only has one shelf to….. so i was thinking maybe i could add another shelve, or another story.

any ways just wanted ideas and sudgestions.

        Thanks!

You have the habitat-change-up-itus! You cannot be cured, j/k. I have it bad. — Some bunnies like change, it stimulates them. Others feel insecure in a changed habitat but you will know if Lulu gets stressed out about it. Chances are she finds it entertaining. Why don’t you wait til after they are bonded and use your xpen plus grids you have to make a condo-pen with shelves?

the reson i wanted to change it is 1. lulu LOVES the shelve. 2. i can’t get to my closet without moving here cage. 3. i love building nic cages.

she doesn’t mind the change at all when i let her in a new cage she hops in and makes herself at home. i just bought 1000 sip-ties to.

If you don’t mind having to change it up again once more after bonding — do it. For the first cage in your post here I only see 30 grids or 32. you could make that.

rotate the zipties so the sharp points stick outward, away from the outside of the habitat

here are the pics of the cage i made! i put a xpen around the cage and took off the door so she can have more room! her favorite place is the top of the cage. she sits up there all the time.

i covered the zip ties with tape and rotated them so they wouldn’t hurt her.

                        here it is!

this is the cage! as you can see i have a x-pen around it.

here she is exploring it for the first time.

                        here is her favorite spot.

Great habitat, Mocha! I love it! Is it easy to keep tidy and clean for you too? Can I ask, why did you put carpet on the top of the cage? Maybe you can switch it with the cardboard that is on the shelves, what do you think?

That’s an awesome set up! I had baught those cubes too, but Lily doesn’t need it! So just going to make them into the actual cubes for extra storage for the kids! I used them 2 high 3 wide by 4 long as a pen after Lily got neutered. I was planning on building her a condo with them after, but Lily went right back to being litter trained & runs free throughout the house all day & night! This mornin I wished she was still in a pen, LOL, she woke me up by pulling on my hair & tuns of kisses way toooooo early!

no, carpet is not bad unless Lulu eats it. I just thought you could use it to cover the shelves so they wouldn’t be slippery.

the bottom shelves are cardboard and then the out side ones are tile and the top is carpet.

I see it now, the top of your cage is a shelf too. Now the carpet there makes sense.
