SO this morning I woke up and went to go let Mr.B out of his area and give food. When I went to "roxy"’s area I thought he was in his cardboard box and he’d usually hop over as soon as you place your hand in his area to be pet and played with, well no sign so I rustled some newspaper to get his attention. Well I did alright… I saw a black object out of the corner of my eye coming my way! He had jumped over the baby pen sometime! So I place him back in his area and check for any bunny disasters(since it’s not bunny proofed yet) and nothing, whew good, not even any pellets; so I don’t think he got out much before I woke up.  I called my husband and asked if he was in his area when he left for work and he was so between. 7 and 8am "roxy" had the stroll of the whole house! The pen is so tall I just don’t see how he got over and there isn’t even a small space for him to squeeze though either! He’s etiher Hudini or 00Bunny!

Go Roxy! You may never figure out how he escaped until you see him doing it. These buns can be smarter than we give them credit for.

I’ll have to add pictures of him in his area when I upload them to show how tiny he is and how tall the walls are. I’d love to see how he did it though.

Bunnies aren’t very good climbers, but there are some exceptions.  We are currently away from home for the holidays, but a few days ago, our pet-sitter let us know that when she came in, Aeryn was missing!  She managed to climb over the bunny enclosure (over 2 feet tall!) and was downstairs in the rec room, which she will run to when we let the bunnies out.  We’re not sure why she likes the rec room, she mostly goes down and just sits there whenever she thinks we’re not looking, and then we go down and chase her back up.

Fortunately the pet-sitter managed to chase her back upstairs and back into the enclosure.  She’s also put up our baby-gate across the living room door in case Aeryn makes it over the wall again.  At least the living room is bunny-proofed and there’s food and water outside the enclosure, but the rest of the house isn’t.

We think that because Aeryn can (barely) put her front paws on top of the bunny enclosure if she stretches out as much as she can, she can with great difficulty pull herself up and over if she’s really determined to do so.  Fortunately the gate is somewhat higher, and she hasn’t figured out how to climb it–yet.

He’s at it again!! Ok, so the other day I got everything ready for me and my daughter to leave the house so the house could be showed and I put the buns in their cage and area. When I came back ( I had a sign saying do not touch the rabbits) there were pellets EVERYWHERE, I could not find Riley for a little bit but then my daughter found him under the table.lol. Well the thing is, is that I moved his box no where close to the gate so he had to of jumped over the gate! But that’s not all, he not only jumped over his gate he went and jumped over the gate blocking off the kitchen from the rest of the house which is Mr.B’s area but when we are gone we put him in his cage but the gate is still left up. He dropped pellets and peed in the kitchen. I think its a “hah, this is what you get for marking my forehead and mounting me all those times the other day”. So now we decided to make the NIC condo sooner than planned, but for right now at night and when we’re gone we bungie cord 2 cardboard boxes broken down on top of his area. Silly smart bun buns!
