Cotton had been eating litter some too. Didn’t hurt him. Was Aspen pine with the odor removed. HE also ate the carefresh b4 too.
I wouldnt’ worry about it. They may do that from time to time. Unless your bunny is eating it as a main course then I would change something.
What worried me was Cotton was eating the litter on a regular basis along with newspaper instead of his hay.
So I started with the variety and I threw that bale out was a big horse sized bale.
He hasnt’ eaten his litter like that since.
I also suppose somethign was wrong with that particular bale
we threw out couple of months ago. Hubby brought it home after halloween. It was a decoration for someone’s yard. But I dont’ think your bunny has the same problem.
IF a piece of litter falls off of Ruby the next morning Cotton will find it and eat it. He does not want any other bunny’s smell anywhere near him. Terrible brat isn’t he? But no it doesn’t seem to hurt them.
