Hi guys, I’m not sure whether this belongs here or in the diet and care section so apologies if you think it needs moving. Anyway, after reading Crashleys thread it got me a little worried about Peanut and I’d like your input. He eats his pellets reeeally slowly. He’s always eaten them quite slowly anyway especially compared to Buttercup who wolf’s them down but I’ve noticed over the last few weeks that he seems to be eating them slower. I measure out their daily ration and then feed them one or two at a time throughout the day as treats. Before this, I was feeding the whole daily portion in one sitting but one at a time for clicker training so maybe he’s always been this slow and I’m just now noticing? I don’t know. His hay consumption hasn’t changed. He eats at the same pace and he’s still eating his usual quantity. He eats his romaine and dill as normal. His poops look fine. He only ever has a wet chin after drinking from his bowl so he’s not drooling. What do you guys think? He’s scheduled for vaccinations and a full check up on 1st  November so obviously he’ll have his teeth looked at with an otoscope then. Also, sometimes if the pellets are really small (size varies) he has trouble picking them up from my hand with his teeth? Is that normal?

My fluffykins makes his tiny portion (1/3rd cup or 1/4th) of pellets last hours. I mean *hours*. Is this what you mean by slowly, or do you mean he eats each pellet slowly?
