My rabbit Pretty Boy is a sweet Holland lop rabbit, but recently he has lost his interest in food. He LOVES kale and his pellets, but he kind of just picks at it and eats some. He ends up finishing it overnight. He has also been leaving pellets in his food dish and that is REALLY unlike him, he usually acts like I starve him. He has fully lost interest in hay and yesterday I set some on the ground out of the hay net and he seemed to eat more, but he usually LOVES food. He will eat his favorite treat, banana and blackberries. I let him out in his play pen yesterday and he ran around and attacked a cardboard box and was pushing his willow ball around. Also digging and chewing (Trying) his blanket. My vet did say that he may need to get his teeth filled down soon and that was last October, so I think it may be that. He is 4 and that is the age they need it usually. Any solutions would be great!

I am also curious when is it to old to spay/neuter? I want to get it done but he is 4 and some say it is too old, my vet said he can do it, but I don’t want to risk it!

That does sound like a teeth issue to me. It would be best to get him to the vet as soon as you can. Teeth points can jab into cheeks or gums, which is painful and may cause an abscess. Abscesses can spread to the jaw and that is very serious. You also don’t want him to start losing weight or head toward GI stasis, since he isn’t eating right and eating very little hay. Hopefully, all Pretty Boy needs is some filing of his teeth points.

Four years old is not too old to neuter. The last rabbit I adopted was 4 years old when I got him from the shelter, and they neutered him then. I assume that you have a good, rabbit savvy vet. With older rabbits (4 isn’t that old) vets may perform blood tests ahead of time to check liver function and overall health. So you could ask your vet to perform the tests first. Some vets routinely do that anyway.
