My 4 month old holland lop, Bear, he chews up EVERYTHING. Fleece blankets. The wire on his cage. His litter box(plastic), anything that seems to be CHEWable. Thankfully, he isnt eating it. He just likes to chew. :3 I was hoping to find a nice bed type of thing (preferably enclosed so he can have the option of hiding for a while to nap:3) to put in the corner of his new cage and possibly some toys that might actually last a week. Lol. He also lives to dig. Not loves, LIVES. Lol. He will fling his litter all around his cage unless I put as small amount possible. Any suggestions on a bed and possibly some toys? I think for now I have the litterbox thing figured out but really would like to find him some toys and other things to keep him entertained, and I know some colorful sticks from the petstore won’t do that. Booring.
I got something like this for my boy (only it tapers closed at one end) and he love it. Ripped it apart in a month, of course, but he did use it as a bed, even when it was falling apart. It was fairly cheap (about £5) too, so I’m not mega fussed that he destroys it.
I eat a lot of smarties, and the cardboard tubes are really handy to stuff with his ‘treat’ hay or some straw with a few veggies. They keep him occupied for a while.
Stuff hanging from the cage roof is also pretty good – look in your pet shop for these. Even if it’s completely edible, it’s more of a challenge if it’s hanging up, they really have to work for it!
