Hey guy. So my bunny baby is 8years old. She is mainly outdoors with the other bunnies though most of the time now she stays inside. Anyways for a while her ears have been pretty itchy. I have treated her for mites already which she has had before but it is inside the ear aswell. I feel like they are itchy. When I run the inside there are some flaky bits that come off my finger. Do you think it’s ear mites or maybe just because she can’t groom herself as well as she once did she is a bit wobbly on the back legs now and sometimes doesn’t have the best balance. Just a little bit of arthritis. I do have to shave her bottom also just to help her out a bit. When I scratch her ears she just licks me and turns her head in a bit to get more. I will be taking her for a vet check very soon. So main question is about the ears and is there anything that you guys give your rabbits for arthritis and is it effective? Thank you.

I would have the vet take a look. It could be mites or it could just be dry skin. If they have a hard time cleaning their own ears, stuff can build up over time and make it feel itchy. Arthritis is typically treated with a NSAID like metacam. There has been some use of joint supplements in recent years too.
