        Hi all,

I just noticed that one of our eight week old baby’s ear tips are drooping.  Any ideas?

We just took all 5 babies to the vet on Friday to help us determine their sex.  Everyone was fine.  I didn’t notice the ear droop yesterday either.

I’ve searched online and found causes for the entire ears to droop, but not just the tips.

It may take a day or two to get in at the vet so I thought I’d ask here.

        Thanks!

The dropping ear tips can be a sign of vitamin A deficiency in young rabbits. That would be rare, I think.
However, your rabbit looks like she could be an angora mix. Is one of the parents an English Angora?

Do the babies get alfalfa hay? This is a good source of vitamin A but it’s also good for growing rabbits and/or pregnant & lactating rabbits.

Just reading some other possible reasons –
            – dehydration
            -overheating.

I also saw photos of lop bun whose ear tips that lopped first, then the rest of the ears after.
