When I go to cut my bunnies nails, I use small pet nail clippers (from petsmart) and when I go to clip the nail bends to much all the way at the base. The bun pulls his leg back and won’t let me cut them. Is there something else I could use? His nails are white so really easy to see the quick. Does anyone else have this problem with dwarf rabbits?

Try going to a vet and get them to show you how to clip bunnies nails. Or if there are bunny boarding places around you most of the people that work in them / own them off nail trimming services. The lady I go to charges $5 per bunny and she alos teaches how to clip nails. If you cant go to either one of those try learning off either 101 rabbits nail trimming video or HowCasts rabbit nail trimming video

Also there might be something wrong with the clippers your using e.g they’re blunt, try getting some new ones and get some cat nail clippers as they are normally better quality than the ones made for bunnies.

My rabbit is a dwarf mix and I use human nail clippers on her. Is he on concrete flooring? if so the concrete may have done the job

We use small pet clippers, they usually do the job well and I find easier to clip than human nail clippers. Our Peri moves around a lot when we try to clip her nails, so what we usually do is wrap her in a blanket (bunny burrito) with a paw sticking out- since the rest of the body cant move she usually stays still. I would recommend having two people (if possible), one holding the bunny firmly the other clipping.

I also use clippers, but recently heard about nail grinder. It is created for dog nail trimming but  it is said that works well for rabbits as well. [edited by DanaNM to remove link] maybe someone tried to trim rabbit nails with it?
