Hi, I have a dutch rabbit who’s approximately 3 and a half years old. He started shedding a few weeks ago, and he’s growing white strands of fur in places which were originally completely black. Is this kind of like how humans’ hair can turn grey/white when they get older, or is this some sign of a health condition? Thank you!

Scattered white fur is not uncommon, especially in rabbits with white fur. To my knowledge, it is not linked to any concerning medical conditions, aside from simple fur genetics.

I wouldn’t be concerned. This is actually quite common.

ok thank you. I just wanted to be sure that he wasn’t suffering from any medical condition.
