I have a Dutch rabbit that has been acting different lately.  It has been doing this over a week or so. When it sits is breaths heavier and shakes little. I have also noticed it is not as active has it been. I thought it was getting sick or something. I am not over feeding it. It eats pellets and timothy hay and still drinks plenty of water. I did cut back on the pellets because I thought it had stomach problems or something. One thing I noticed is it fecal was smaller in size one day but it seems normal size now. Just tonight I looked at the litter box and it had this wired stringy poop not sure what was but it never did it before. It still likes to eat but it likes to sit in my lap a lot more than normal. I keep its cage clean give it fresh water 2 times a day. Most of the day it spends time out of the cage because it has been good about using the litter box. I thought it was chewing on something that would make it act like this but I can’t find anything. Sometimes it acts like it old self being all happy then goes right back to this stuff. I don’t think it is pain from what I know of that rabbits do when they have pain. Not sure if I should take it to the vet or not he may tell me there nothing wrong or not sure what to think. Also it has been sneezing but it nose is dry and the eyes are clean.

          Welcome!!!
Smaller poops can mean gut trouble. STringy poop usually means there is fur in there (strung together with hair). Sneezing usually means tooth problems or pasutrella.
Unfortunately bunnies aren’t dogs or cats, and you cannot just ‘wait and see’. When there are changes in poops, eating, discharge etc-like you are describing-its’ imperative to get to a vet. They just simply cannot wait for a day or two. Sneezing even without eye crusties etc-can be a big deal. Bunnies do not get colds like we do, so we simply must not brush it off. I would see a vet asap and find out what is going on.
Kudo’s for recognizing that something has changed! Keep us posted!

I agree that a trip to the vet is needed. All of these things together can indicate one or more things wrong with your bunny.
            What is your bunny’s name?
Please let us know what the vet says.

Hi Lightning.    Keep us updated.    We all want bun to be in the best of health.

Thats true about bunnies not waiting a day or 2.      They hide their ailments when sick.   By the time we notice something is off it could be quite serious.
