Would dried apricots be a good treat?

They should be fine as a treat- but you should take a pair of scissors and cut it into a bunch of small pieces to get more reasonable serving sizes.  A whole dried apricot would be A LOT of sugar- but if you cut it into pieces and only feed a few pieces (equivalant of a few raisins) that would be fine.  And I find it is better to feed the same amount in smaller pieces that the same amount is a large piece.  Bunnies are like toddlers in the fact that they appreciate number of treats as opposed to one treat of the same amount.

I even cut the larger Craisins into smaller pieces so I will have more treats to give- our bunnies will beg- stand and reach, take them from between our lips (very gently) and also retrieve them off the cats walking all over them to do so (bunnies are oblivious, cats are annoyed).

RabbitPam- I have to warn you- their whiskers tickle a little!  But it is so cute!  My bunnies can smell Craisins if they are anywhere near them- and they will look around until they find it.  My bunnies have always taken them from our lips very gently otherwise I am sure I would have not ever tried it again.  My husband was the first to try it with Cotton.

At night when they are let upstairs when we are watching TV- I prepare a little bowl of dried fruit for them- so I am not getting it out of the package- that way I start with X amount- and they don’t get any more than that per night.  Otherwise they are so cute and such little beggers I can’t resist giving just one more (which leads to just one more, and then hubby gives just one more, etc….)

My bunny likes them. But I agree with cutting them into smaller pieces–they are sugary and could upset your buns belly in large amounts.
