I just got this idea from Mimz. I have crazy vivid weird dreams, and nightmares. When I share them with people they think I should go on medication

Please share your crazy dreams with me, for laughs or at least to make me feel less crazy!!

        Here’s two notables.

I often have dinosaur dreams. In this one, I was a velociraptor…Me and another raptor were trying to get into this compound where people were. We were not breaking in to eat them. We were breaking in to sell them weed. (cue laughter!!)

I had a dream I was giving birth. I had three babies, one triceratops, one trex and one brachiosaurus. I gave birth in the bathroom at my old house-that’s what makes the dream weird.

I have strange and terrifying dreams all of the time but I will just share a strange one I had last night. Ok a few things to note I do not talk to my step brother and last time I checked my mom was not a potato.

Last night I had a dream that I was in the house I live in now everything was the same. I kept rubbing my stomach saying “I think I am pregnant” but no one could hear me. I was walking around the house with no clothes on just rubbing my stomach over and over repeating I think I am pregnant. Then out of no where I was in my room standing in front of my water snail tank and my step brother and some woman was there all of a sudden he picks up a snail and licks the bottom of it  Then she does the same all the while I am rubbing my stomach. I look over and Pacey is sitting on the couch reading a book and looks up to me and says “that was wrong on so many levels”. LOL and right before I wake up I go into the living room and in a chair sits a potato flipping through channels on the tv she looks at me and says “aw look at that pretty baby” and I am standing there with a basketball sucking a bottle and I wake up. That is far from the strangest dream I have had just so you know lol.

I have incredibly strange dreams sometimes and I also have wickedly vivid nightmares, the kind where you wake up and have to remind yourself it’s not real in the 10 seconds where you’re subconscious melts into your conscious…

Last night I dreamt that my boyfriend (of 3 years) and I were driving around in his car with a baby (our baby my dream self believed) named Arianna. Then out of the blue he tells me that Arianna isn’t my baby that actually he had an affair with our mutual friend Dano (who is a girl the name is a little confusing sometimes and also very the furthest thing from a threat in the whole world I love her to death) and that Arianna was theirs. I have no IDEA how it would be possible considering you’d think I’d know if I gave birth to a baby… but he made me stop the car, got out and took Arianna away saying he had always had a thing for Dano and was leaving me and I was left there wishing I could die on the side of the road because I’d just lost my true love and my baby apparently..

Needless to say I woke up with thinking WTF!??!! and then I laughed and called Adam to tell him my ridiculous dream… and I’ll probably tell Dano when I see her because she’ll think the idea of her having a child is a nightmare all in it self lol.

But in those 10 seconds between sleep and awake it’s terrifying to wonder whether or not you dreamt of a confession of an affair and lost child or if it was a dream. Then the lights come on and I think I’m an idiot lol

Well, this isn’t a silly funny nightmare, but I’ll share anyway…

So, this thread stemmed off of my thread about how I was watching a ghost-hunter show and was afraid to walk down the hallway in the dark…

When I was a kid, my bedroom and the bathroom were also at the end of a hallway from the living room, just like they are now.  But the hallway dead-ended at my parent’s bedroom, and the wall that faced the hallway was covered in these very 1970’s engraved-mirror panels.  They were mirrored enough to be reflective, but because they were panels and warped, they just showed light, shadow, and movement, but not true shape.  At night, reflecting the light from the living room at the end of a dark hallway, they were SCARY!  Somehow, I got in my head that an archer lived in the mirror, and if I turned my back on him (on the way back to the living room), he would jump out or shoot me in the back.  I PLEADED with my parents to keep the door to their bedroom shut so I wouldn’t have to brave the archer, but they wouldn’t!

So I was highly annoyed, 15 years after moving out of that house, to be scared of my own hallway the other day!

I also had several recurring nightmares as a kid.  One was about the mountains to the north of my house on fire (it’s So. Cal, and things burn–the dream actually came true my senior year in high school!  Except it wasn’t so close that we had to evacuate…).  The WORST nightmare wasn’t really a nightmare, because in my mind, I could swear I was awake.  I would wake up, and see a demon-red-eyed wolf with fangs looking in my bedroom window, snarling, ready to leap in.  But these windows were 6′ off the ground–high and small.  So to be up that high, this was a BIG DOG!

I haven’t had this dream since I was around 12, though.

Until I got Lizzy.  About a month or 2 later, when we were finally getting to like each other, I dreamed about the big red-eyed wolf-dog.  But Lizzy was outside.  And she was trying to run inside to me, and she pressed her little nose against the screen on the window, and I couldn’t get outside fast enough, and she screamed…

And I woke up sobbing and my poor boyfriend had to scoop me up out of my neuroses AGAIN.

I swear, I was a badass until I got bunnies.

Lightchick – Don’t feel bad, I didn’t share some of the horrible nightmares that I went through. My sister had the same wolf outside the window nightmare that you’ve had too. She had it when she was younger till she was about 12 or so.

I actually get these things called night terrors (at least that was what I was told they were called when I was little). It’s much like you described only I wake up usually once I’ve physically injured mysely in my sleep (grab my own arm until I’ve bruised it things like that). They’re vivid and they feel real, so real that I would react by vommiting the next morning, waking up in tears, screaming in my sleep, sleep walking and alot of other things. I used to suffer from insomnia and related halucinations from not sleeping. When I was about 10 I started seeing the shape of a man in a black hat standing in the corner where the hallway met my bedroom door. I used to lay there staring at him, seeing it even though it wasn’t there sobbing and feeling like if I fell asleep I wouldn’t be waking up in the morning.

Sometimes when I’m with my boyfriend I’m still afraid to go to sleep incase I have one of these experiences.

So don’t feel crazy! I think sometimes people just have not only a strong imagination but also an extremely strong subconscious. I welcome the silly nightmares with open arms! And I still LOVE horror movies regardless!

i had a dream that oreos grew on trees like leaves and they were magic. and if you twisted them open, licked the center, and put them back together then made a wish your wish would come true. well it was autumn and everyone was raking up their magic oreos out of the yards into trashbags and my mom put some on a plate and told me to take them to the neighbors. The first neighbor i tried was albert einstein. he was rude and slammed the door in my face. then the next neighbor was the devil. and he grabbed me and pulled me into his “lair” and wouldnt let me leave. then suddenly all my friends from highschool showed up with random weapons and started fighting him. but they couldnt beat him, just distracted him. so i went to his computer and emailed albert einstein for help and he brought his rabid dogs over and they killed the devil.

                  yeah weird.

about 2 weeks ago i had a weird dream that involved the bunnies.

Mike took them to work with him *for some reason*… i have no idea why (he works in a machine shop and does shipping… real dirty, grimey work, and it’s a place i’d never in a gazillion years let him take the buns, not that he’d WANT to anyways…)

he gets home from work and he says, “uh-oh… i left the bunnies at work.” this is how i knew it was a dream… I DIDN”T PANIC!!!

i say, “oh, okay. well, we should probably go get them, don’cha think?”

so we drive to his work (which is in the less desirable/”ghetto” area of Cleveland…) we get there, they are GONE!

again, i don’t panic. we start driving around the neighbiorhood and we see them down a sidestreet, playing in the middle of the street. we drive up, get out of the car. they hop over to us, let us pick them up, and then we leave and go back home.

it was such an uneventful dream, but in real life, i’d be BESIDES myself with anger, frustration, guilt, worry if this really happened. i woke up and had a serious “what the H?” moment!!!

I have bunny dreams all the time

I have crazy nightmares when bf goes away. Last year he drove to Melbourne (About 7hrs away) and had a big car crash. He wasn’t injured, thank goodness, but the car was totally detroyed.

Now every time he goes away or talks about going away, I dream about horrific car accidents in really intense detail. There’s all screeching breaks and screams, which is actually me screaming, and in my dreams he’s laying there and there’s no-one around to help him.

I used to think I was crazy, but since he’s had 3 accidents in 3 years, all of which weren’t his fault, I now know he’s a magnet for idiot drivers.

Years ago I  dreamed that my father and I walked into some cavelike room and there were two human sized ground hogs standing there talking to each other,  like this:

First groundhog,   to second,  “So how’s Madge doing?  And the kids?”

Second groundhog, to first,   “Oh they’re fine.   Andy’s starting school this year…”

I turn to my father and say,   “Did you see that!”   He says,  “What?”   I say,  “Talking groundhogs!!!”    He says,  “So?”    I say  “Isn’t that odd?”   He says,   “I don’t see anything odd about that.”

Lightchick, I can totally relate to bunny nightmares. I had a horrible one the day before we were supposed to make a town run (usually takes us several hours) because I had been thinking of leaving Mim & Pip together, hoping they were bonded, while we were out. Needless to say, I had some anxiety about it because I fell into a horrible night terror that I picked Mimzy up because he was not moving and he was bleeding profusely from the neck and I knew it was because Pip had bitten him there. He was barely alive and I could see him trying to open one eye but not quite making it….but the screaming was all mine.
You think I didn’t come out of that one needing several thousand dollars’ worth of therapy…. ;_; The hubby was lucky to get me out of the house that day, despite the bunnies being left in their separate pens. I was afraid it was some kind of premonition (I do get them) that something fatal was going to happen to all the animals and I was bound and determined to stay home and stop it from coming true.

Just a touch of how criminal my imagination is. >.<

MM & C&C & Samantha, so glad I’m not the only doom-and-gloomer! (I try not to be, but nightmares play dirty, darn it!)

Poor Mimzy… You know I totally know what you mean after my 2’s melt-down…

I wish I had weird surrealistic dreams like Carry’s and PeppersMom’s…that sounds like fun!

Oh I get those too. But they are easier to shake off because they are just so obviously dreams. It’s those lifelike ones that kill me.
I usually like to try and stay in the nonsense dreams…once you realize you’re dreaming it’s fun to try and change it or figure out why you’re having it until it fades away.

I love surreal dreams. I usually have them after waching Willy Wonker & the Chocolate Factory (the original).

Nothing to compare to Peppersmom, that’s a truly bizare dream. I love oreos though (conveniently vegan also ) so I can imagine if I had that dream it would end with me trying to catch oreos in my mouth as they fell from the tree (cue music)

Oreos are vegan? Really?! What the heck holds all that white stuff together if not lard and gelatin?!

Do you need any special program for that, btw? Or does it just automatically load like the webcam does? 0_o *is terribly stupid about tech*

Oreo’s? Vegan? Um, am I missing something here?

Apparently! I finally figured out how to do the math from CA time to Aussie time. Subtract 5 hours, add 1 day. So it’s 4pm on Tuesday for you, right? It’s 9pm Monday for me…

So many things to address……. Chatroom; I usually open a second window for chatroom. Then I can cruise around on forum then duck back in their to see if anyones about.

Will be checking bumper stick thread soon, was next in line – DEAD curious now!

Okay, back on topic; MM are you a lucid dreamer? That’s a great skill, I couldn’t if I tried!   I know your supposed to be able to incubate dream topics too.  An Oreo tree sounds like a good thing to try incubate/dream about!
I really enjoy reading about the dreams, don’t like that you’re all having nightmares but they can help you indentify fears so you can get passed them. I’m sorta itching to analyse everyones dreams but the best person to do that is yourselves.

Has anyone participated in dream forums before? I did an couple years ago. Sadly it’s no longer operating but it was great to get others perspectives on things. Anyway, just finding this all intriguing and thought I’d say so! Off to bumper sticker now…….mmmmmmmm?????

I’ve been incredibl busy the last few weeks and so our house is a complete disaster.  Every time I get part of it cleaned another part is a disaster, etc.  It’s horrible and I have been avoiding having ANYONE come over.  Well last night I had a nightmare about it.

(Technically my in laws own this house, and we just pay their mortgage on it.  My MIL is awesome, my step father in law…he’s a bit off and he’s quiet and he’s not really like a father to my husband because they married when Mike was jsut about grown..anyway..that’s the back story.)

So, in my dream my MIL came over.  Ok no big deal..she’s seen the house a total mess…well she brings with her my soon to be ex sister in law (divorcing Mike’s brother) and his brother’s new girlfriend (they hang out in real life too..it’s a weird thing…) and my step father in law…uhoh he was the one I REALLY didn’t want to see the house.  Well he goes into my kitchen and starts doing my dishes….ok weird and creepy..then he asks my MIL to come in there.  And he starts “whispering” but it’s so loud that I can hear him and he’s saying that it’s time to kick us out of the house because we don’t keep it neat.   He then says that Mike is ok but “what about that Alicia?  She’s the problem…she needs to go” so I walk past and go up the stairs and say something like “me? I’m the problem? how is this all on me? oh and next time maybe you should go outside if you’re going to talk about me”.

So then the sister in law and BIL’s gf start coming upstairs and I tell them no..because the upstairs is even worse then downstairs!  They keep trying to come after me…kinda like zombies in a horror flick and I scream for them to go away and to not come near me.  Then my step FIL starts coming up and shoves past me and goes “what a disgrace, that’s it you’re out NOW!” and then I push him down the stairs..he was fine..cos he’s in like zombie mode now..

And my MIL..who I expect to stand up for me starts saying in like this fake proper tv mom voice “I think that sounds about right.  My Michael can stay here, but you?  I don’t know about you.  I think you should leave…so Mike go ahead, you’re fine..Alicia’s going to have to go” So I grab Mike’s arm and say “fine we’ll just get a new place, tell her you don’t care and we’ll all leave” and then he hesitates!!  (He got punched in the side last night cos of that in real life…oops!) and my MIL starts saying how I am “one of three now” and that she doens’t have any use for me any longer.  One of the three is because two of her sons are divorced/divorcing so she was saying I was with them now and not her daughter in law anymore.  So then she starts laughing like the wicked witch of the west…and that was that.

So how sad am I??? I actually have nightmares because my house is too messy.  Needless to say..guess who’ll be cleaning tonight???

I was checking out that peta page..I don’t see oreos on there exactly…just certain varieties of oreos.  So just be careful…doesn’t look like they are ALL vegan..

Alicia, that is soo funny! I particularly like it when they’re coming up the stairs like zombies…and the WW of West laugh of course. It’s wierd how real life hijacks our dream and is 10 times worse.

Also the key to being a good vegan is being able to read the ingrediants on packets really quick. Although by now I just know what’s vegan and whats not with all normal stuff eg what breads to get and a huge amount of things are actually vegan, cause I guess it’s cheaper not to use dairy or egg.

Anyway, last night in my dream a snake got into the house (not common here but very common in the place I used to live) and it had cornered Charlie. I didn’t know if it had bitten him or not and I knew it was a King Brown so deadly poisonous for Charlie, so I grabbed it and it obviously bit me. Then Charlie fell over & I thought he was dead. AT this point I’m still holding a snake and I’m yelling at Rohan to get a pillow case or something and he’s standing there saying that he doesn’t like snakes, so I grab a pillow case and put the snake in. Then I look at my hand where I’ve been bitten and it’s MASSIVE!
So now I’m freaking cause my hand is too big to dial the number for the vet & Charlie keeps falling over, so I’m crying cause I thought he would die.
The my alram went off! Thank god. I’m not even scared of snakes, and I haven’t seen any snakes recently so no idea where that one came from.

I hate biting dreams. >.< I have them where all manner of things are taking a nip at me; bats, snakes, spiders…you name it I've had a nightmare about being bitten by it.

(Of course, I could dream I was an Oreo and have a nightmare about being bitten by a human, so….jeez, I gained ten pounds just looking at that list!)

But in my dreams, everything slows down right before they strike..so I can feel myself backing up and trying to get away and thinking I’m going to make it, and then the fangs sink in and I wake up and think, “Game Over.”

Holy cow, C&C…I would hate to be living in your subconscious! 0_o

On lucid dreaming and dreaming in general-this is from my nerdy BF-(dave lol)

You can use buy this device that flashes red on your eyelids when it senses your dreaming-you eventually realize when dreaming and you see the red light that your dreaming-It’s basically a lucid dreaming device; That way you can use your dreams to do whatever you like!!

Also he has this other program that plays noises of certain frequencies for certain types of dreams…some of them help you study too; I tried the study one and really like it and the other one was one to help you fall asleep.

So their are some pretty cool ‘sleep things’ out there!

I have audio that is supposed to play frequencies that take you from alpha to delta to theta brainwaves (think that’s the order ??). Don’t know how legit it is but it always used to make me chill out.  The lucid dreaming device thing sounds curious.  So it’s like a trigger to prompt you to remember you’re dreaming?  Chances are I’d start dreaming I was being pulled over by the cops or being terrorised by a laser weilding bandit.

MM, have you been bitten by a dracula?  A Bunnicula?  I shouldn’t make fun, you’re dreamlife sounds kinda terrifying actually!  So the biting thing is a recurring theme?  Wonder what happen if you said, in the dream “go ahead – bite me!”?  No joke, actually invite them to bite and see what happens.

MM, when I’m in danger in my dreams, I feel like I’m trying to wade away through treacle! I used to dream that I was on a train track and a train was speeding towards me but I could move out of the way cause the air was so thick, like treacle

K&K, now all I can think of is Laser Sharks

JG, what exactly does a Bunnicula look like?
