Is there anything I need to avoid when looking for a dog/cat bed for Nova? The only thing I can think off is not wanting catnip embedded in it (might encourage chewing), and obviously something that can become a choking hazard or that her toes can get caught on are no-nos. I was thinking something that is domed so she has some privacy. Maybe like this:

        http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_…1688237701

        Or even this:

        http://www.amazon.com/Armarkat-Sage…B005GSEUE8

I won’t be ordering online, so I am just looking for a general style, not any particular price.

          I bought both buns this-http://www.target.com/p/Pearl-Quiet-Time-Pet-Bed/-/A-B0006IVBM2#?lnk=sc_qi_detaillink
Its machine washable and both bunnies like to sprawl out on it

I have found that my bunnies like the flatter beds because rabbits like to stretch out when they lay down rather than curling up like cats or dogs.

Kykattin, the burgundy and beige Amarkat hooded bed i had gotten for Dustor. The hood wouldn’t stay up and within the same day I put the bed into Dustor’s pen, he chewed a hole in the velvet and had pulled out some of the polyfill. He also peed in it, treated it like a cushy litterbox and picked at it but didn’t care to sleep in it. That’s just my story with Dustor.

The only bed Dustor doesn’t pee on and likes to lay on is his Pipe Dreams indoor/outdoor pet bed I got on Amazon. He likes to hop up on the slightly elevated surface and sleep. He does leave poops on the water-resistant surface but i just shake them off into the trash from time to time. A fleece cover is available for the bed which I ordered, but they sent me too large a size for the smallest 18″ pipe dream bed I bought. The right size fleece cover would probably be good, especially in the winter.

I have a fleece bolster bed for Petie with a fleece blankie that he likes to shove around on top of it and he likes to lie in it. It’s similar to Sam and Lady’s Target bed but I got mine at http://www.thebunnybasics.com. I got the smaller size that Buddie used to love to sleep on, and the larger size for Petie, who lays his head on the bolster and naps from time to time. Sam & Lady’s bed would probably be good to try with your bun.

My dog bed for Nava (which needs to be cleaned. I used it when my rat Rosco got hurt and he was in “lock down” and needed something to sleep on… spoiled little *mumbles*), looks a lot like Sam and Lady’s Human’s bed. I noted they tend to to like flat beds (and are less likely to pee on them), but Nava beat the crap out of hers… after it is clean maybe she’ll like it more since she hasn’t seen it in a while? Lol.
