So Mars had his fron paws on my knee and was just resting his chin while I was petting him. All of a sudden he stiffened up and rolled backwards and landed on his back. It happened really quick, it was probably like two seconds. I’ve had him for almost a year and nothing like this has ever happened. Does he need to see a vet? I’m not SUPER worried since he recovered immediately and seems fine but I don’t want to take any chances.

Did you see eyes roll back or anything? He could have just been off balance or could have had some weird brain activity and things stopped for a second so that’s why he fell back.

Did it look remotely like either of these?

Sometimes rabbits are very uncoordinated with flopping.

Could be flop, loss of balance, or brief seizure. I’d observe for now, and immediate vet visit if it repeats and you have more reason to suspect seizure.
