Do forum leaders spend 23 hours/day on BB?

It takes me a long time to get thru a few threads.   How do forum leaders read so many posts?    Are they formatted differently for Forum Leaders,  so you can just scroll down a page from one thread to another instead of having to exit a thread and go into the next one? I couldn’t read all the stuff you read.

well, you start by having no life. lol. i speak only for myself when i say that! all the other forum leaders have wonderfully grand lives… ;o)

but seriously, we are on a schedule. some of us can visit more than others due to our jobs and other responsibilities. the site we see is the same site everyone else sees. i know since i am on everyday, i can easily see which threads i’ve read (they show up in bold.) once i’ve read thru the new threads/replies, i press the “mark all read” button at the bototm of the screen, so next time, only the new replies will show up in bold.

does that make sense?

Really we see totally the same threads as you guys do though!

Awe, carrythehare…thanks for noticing! Yes, lots of posts to get through even with the recent increase of Forum Leaders.

Oh, yes,and as Beka mentioned,  the grand life thing…my very grand life (LOL)..seems to always get in the way.

And like KK said..”Mad typing skills!!”…or in my case “Bad mad typing skills” since I race to answer to get through and I typo all over the place in the process. I tried to double-check, but it just takes too long! Gack!

There is an assigned schedule where there are usually at least 3 forum leaders that check the board per day. But it can still get overwhelming for us sometimes because obviously we can’t be staring at the forum 24/7, but we communicate with each other when we need help from the rest of the team. So if there is something urgent or one of us doesn’t know the answer, we help each other out.

We each may have our own way of getting through all the posts that works best.  My way is;  I first check on  “unanswered” links to see if there are any posts that still need to be replied to – I may not reply to all if they are just fun posts, but I will reply to “unanswered” ones that need questions answered.    Then I go through and eyeball threads for urgent posts and admin concerns.   Then I go back and click on “My forums” which shows the threads I replied to before and I that way  it’s easier to do any follow-ups. Then I go back and see if there is anything I need to respond to in the rest of the forums. And IF I have time to put in some extra time, then I’ll head over to the lounge and try and have fun. I get there in waves.  70% is looking through and reading, and 30% is trying to answer as quickly as possible because like you said – it takes long time just to get through them.  I also do what Beka does and after I’ve gotten through the priorities, I mark as “all read” so that the new ones will show up in bold only next time.

I am EXTREMELY grateful for our dedicated bunch of leaders that do this. They ARE Super Hero Forum Bunny Leader Peoples!       It’s not that easy, so again, thanks for noticing!

I am using reading the boards a couple times a day even on the days I am not scheduled too.  If I miss a day I feel like I get “behind” in the posts.  I only have one of board that I am active with (saltwater marine) and even that not so much lately. 

But probably biggest reason of all- the bunnies are in the same room as the computer and when I am down here on the computer, I let the buns out one at a time for exercise.   So my buns get their exercise and I stay up to date on all the bunny gossip, all at the same time.

Plus, I don’t have any kids- only pets, and my husband works a lot, and he works 12 and 24 hours shifts at a time.  We don’t have any family that lives close by- so if I am not at work- if hubby is working I am usually home.

I kind of wondered about that too.

You know I spend a lot of time here. I check here 3x a day usually. And the hours just go by. I dont work so I can do it.

It must be hard if you work outside the home. Or have a business at home. Y’all do a good job though. Real good I agree too

Awe shucks you guys are so sweet! It does take time and I too spend about 70% of the time reading through posts and 30% replying. We’ve got many outstanding members here that lend some great advice when us leaders take a bit longer to get there. So thank YOU too!  I know that 30% replying seems low but I only reply when I really have something to add, most of the time the advice already given is the same thing I would say, so I go on to read the next discussion.

Do you know, I just happened to be logged on at BB-HAHA!-whilst some CL’s were and I tell you, I had skipped from Q&A to Diet&Care and back agian in like 30 seconds. And there was like a CL’s addition to 3 threads in that time! I tells you, I don’t think they’re human!

LOL You guys are soo sweet!! I definitely log in a few times a day. Don’t think I could do it just on my scheduled days-I miss you guys too much and I’m always worried I’ll miss something important!
