Okay, maybe it’s just me but I find this quite disturbing.. I almost want to go buy all these rabbits thinking of the conditions they’re probably in…. I bet none are indoors…and thinking about the weather we’ve been having… cold, foggy, rain and wind warnings. Gee..

” Hello my dad has about 40-50 rabbits for sale, they are netherland dwarfs, and holland lops, they are purebred, and a variety of ages. (including breeding stock)  The more you buy the better the price, $5-20  a piece or by pairs.  My dad is selling out he needs time off.  There are even some cages available,”

Rabbits are usually considered livestock to most people.

I work at a livestock feed and supply store and have to deal with selling bulk rabbit food to many, MANY meat rabbit raisers…they get the same treatment as cattle – shelter, food and water.

It sounds like these rabbits are just bred for profit though, judging on the breeds…? I couldn’t imagine a Nethy sold for meat

Poor bunnies. It makes me terribly sad to think of where they will end up at those prices. It’s disturbing that someone would let their rabbits reproduce to that many numbers. Don’t they realize about the effects of animal overpopulation?

I’d be willing to bet the majority of them end up as snake feeders…”the more you buy the better…” it’s like shopping at a discount store…

These people don’t recognize ANYTHING outside of the confines of their yard or house. It’s not the first time you’ll see an ad like this and it sure won’t be the last. I wonder if it will start happening more frequently with the poor economy.

“I can breed bunnies for cheap and sell them!”

“Oh wait, I’m NOT the ONLY ONE with no money?!”

“Boo-hoo! No one wants to buy my bunnies.”

“Shoot… I have to feed these things too…?”

I would not buy a bunny from them. I would take one if they were to give it to me for free, but I would not encourage this behavior by giving them money.

Those poor things….peaple like that deserve to be shoved in a cage with all the other horrable peaple like that and barly fed and left to live in there own fesic. Mabey theyd learn not to treat animals horrably.
