  so adorable! and very disapproving. do you know what kind of bun he is? his fur looks rex-like, but the whiskers aren’t curly. is he a mix breed?

  Reno is a 5-year old mini-rex mix adopted from the shelter. Her life before us was probably very rough because she is pretty anti-social towards humans and occasionally towards our other bunnies. But she has the softest, velvet-like fur.
  
  Markusdark: We very much disapprove of the bright neon shag too! But this house is a rental so we can’t do anything about it, except leave. And that’ll be in a few weeks anyway.

  Hey K&D In the USA shag is carpet with “thread” that is about 1 inch (or 25mm) long. Basically the carpet Reno is sitting on.

  Don’t feel bad. I had the same problem years ago in reverse. I heard the British expression shag, or shagging, and I thought they meant carpet!

  Reno has some short and somewhat curly whiskers. Nowhere as many as Bailey or Tegan, who are not rexes or mini-rexes.

  Hee hee hee re the shag discussion… I’m an aussie and almost everything I say can be taken a different way! (Eg we call trousers “pants” and fanny is the name of something very rude!

  yes fanny doesnt mean arse here either, i find it funny when i hear an american saying ‘arse’ because its like.. no just dont even try lol just like when english people say ass.. unless ur talking about a donkey dont do it! lol And everyone in ireland (where my whole family is from) says pants instead of trousing – its really confusing when im there and my cousin is saying ‘omg i cant find my good pants!’ and im like we are only going for a walk.. bloody hell ^o) lol
