I found someone giving away an entire carload of grids and snatched them up and decided to make Dini (formerly Jax in case you missed my last post) a cage since he has escaped every way possible from the one he was in lol.

It isn’t really done done I have to change a few things like get him an actual litterbox instead of the cage he was brought here in and make the shelves lower since he can’t really jump up there himself (hence the boxes and the cage inside of it he uses them like steps lol). And I need to go around the outside and cut the extra off the zip ties. The bowl in the litterbox was my sisters brilliant idea when she was over and now I can’t get the thing out!

Sorry for the super closeup these rooms are really awkward to get a wide shot of anything. I moved him on the opposite side of the room which made it even more difficult lol. It is 3 panels long 2 high and 2 wide.

But he seems to actually like it better and is using his litterbox more since setting it up. Though he is fond of using the bed in there are a litter box as well.

And there is a picture of his butt while he was chowing down lol.

Looks good, but don’t forget to clip the tails off the cable ties. They need to be cut close to the head. The tails from the cable ties can poke bunny eyes if left sticking out.

aww such a cute little bunny butt! lol I kinda like the idea of the small cage inside for the litter box. It might be hard to clean out though. I bet you’ll change it again and again! I always want to change something in my bun’s cage to make it more fun for her.

The ties were clipped and filed down right after that pic.

The litterbox isn’t that hard to clean the entire front of the cage opens to I can just slide it out but I will still be getting a normal litter box for him. If he stays I will likely make it bigger as he gets bigger.

I use a cage bottom for Lolli. It all started with Eddie cause he’d go all over his cage. So I gave up and turned it into a litterbox as he only went in his cage to potty and get a drink from the water bottle.

Awe cute little bunny butt!!!! That’s a nice little setup! I’m sure he does enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing – from the looks of the bunny butt, he’s busy approving of everything you did!

I completely changed it today lol. I had an issue with the way the top wouldn’t sit straight and let me completely open the front at the same time and I needed a way for him to be able to get to the shelf without the “steps”. He seems to like the new configuration better since it is easier to maneuver for him he is very small and very lazy so he doesn’t like to travel far now he doesn’t have to.

So now it is 4 long 3 wide and 2 high and instead of the L shaped shelf it is now just a straight one along the back and 2 wide instead of 1 lowered by 4 little squares and a regular litterbox and the toys he isn’t terrified of. Now he can run and do binkies inside the bottom and snoozes on the top.
