        Hey all!

So Nox did something today she has never done before. She was sitting in my lap when she started digging at my sweater, now this has happened before but the kinda weird part ( and a little scary since she has never been aggressive before) is when i moved my shirt to discourage the action she grunted at me and lunged at my hand! She did this three times in a row before I got fed up and pushed her off my lap. I tried turning my back on her in bunny disapproval but that didn’t do anything. About an hour later she does the same thing! When I made a high pitch noise to make her think she hurt me she did stop for a few seconds and then moved a little bit and started to do it again! I again made the high pitch noise and she stopped… and then moved down my lap a bit and did it for a third time! I pushed her off my lap again after this. She is just over 4 months old so I was thinking this might me hormones? Or is this something I should be worried about?

        Thanks for all the help!

It’s not something to worry about. It’s normal bunny behavior. At 4 months old, there is a hormonal component. Although sometimes it means Put me back on the floor, I need to go pee. If it does mean that, and you don’t put her back on the floor, there will be pee in your lap.

For some reason, buns sometimes like to dig in the lap of people they like. It’s good that you made the high-pitched noise. It can be painful if they dig frantically and then proceed to nip. That’s not acceptable. Punishment won’t work, but being put back on the floor repeatedly might work – after many repeats. She will have a bunnitude and and a stubborness par none until she’s spayed though. A doe bun hitting puberty tends not to take no for an answer.

My Bam still digs in my mother’s lap (my mother is his favorite person and he jumps up to sit in her lap, so it’s not a protest), although not so it hurts. She has to have a blankie in her lap when he sits there, because he can sometimes decide to nip her clothes and make holes. They have razor teeth – when they want to.

A bunny can also become angry if you stop petting it before you should. It’s of course the bun that decides when you can stop

            Thank you so much!
I think its just hormonal since I was sitting on the floor and she could easily leave.
I’m not sure about her protesting me not petting her. She is weird where if you are standing or squatting she likes to be pet but as soon as you sit down she hops away. She comes back a few moments later to sniff you but you are not allowed to pet her lol.
