My sweet, shy bunny has turned into a terrorist. I’ve had Myles for about 3 weeks now and he seems to be adjusting pretty well. He gets time out of his pen when I’m home and he goes back in his pen when I’m gone and at night. We’ve had this routine for the last couple of days and he seemed pretty okay with it up until today. I wanted to go to the library so I could get some studying done and work on homework. He was out in the living room and I got him to go back in his pen. However, once I closed the gate to his pen he must have gotten angry or something. He started to run into the pen panels and push them further out and was digging and chewing at the carpet. He hadn’t ever done this before inside his cage. He was digging at the carpet under the couch and the coffee table in the living room a little bit but nothing too serious. I bought little capret squares to put over where he was digging in there to protect the carpet underneath. But I can’t just cover the whole carpet in my apartment to keep him from digging and chewing at it! Is he protesting his new pen arrangement? I’m not really sure what to do and its getting to be really frustrating. How do I get him to stop digging at and destroying my carpet? I want to be able to enjoy him being out and if he doesn’t stop digging soon, he might have to stay in pen area much more and I really don’t want to do that. Please help!
