I called the vet and am bring him in first thing in the morning.  The vet told me to give him some pineapple juice.  I never heard of that but would it be ok for him?  He ate a bunch of cilantro this morning but other then that no poopies and a little bit of pee in the morning. He’s very quiet hunched in a ball and not being himself at all.  He left his condo to lay under my desk and is now in his hidey box in the closet.  I am so worried

pineapple juice is fine for buns, helps their digestive system out a bit. Try it and see if Dexter takes to it at all. Other than that, nto sure what else to do but wait til mornign to take him in to the vet.

I’m glad you are brining him to the vet but I do question his suggestion.

I highly suggest you read and print out the following article to discuss with him.  I hope he is open to discussing and trying these suggestions.

Ok I will do that I guess I can try pedialyte instead of pineapple juice. I was thinking that maybe pineapple juice was bad as well because of it being acidic and might upset his tummy even more. I am not sleeping tonight ..lol

I got pedialyte but I am not sure how much to give him now. Any suggestions?

How much does Dexter weigh?   Here is a good resource for dosages of commonly used meds/ treatments/ fluids (including pedialyte) http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rx/drugcalc.html

Type in “P” a few times in the med area and pedialyte will come up.   For a 4 pound bunny they recommended 50 – 100mg (which equals 1.7oz – 3.6oz)

Keep us updated with what happens at the vet.

                  Sending healing vibes!

                    Update
Dexter has some kind of soft mass in his stomach and is on medicine therapy until Monday. He has to take oxbow critical care 3 times a day, pain meds at night, an antibiotic (TMS suspension) and a motility stimulant (metoclomanide). I have to bring him in Monday to get him checked again and if it’s still bad he might need surgery I am so upset and I don’t know how im going to pay for surgery if he needs it I have already maxed out my credit card for his visit today. On top of that I have to bring my kitten in on Tuesday to get retested for feline leukemia .I will keep you posted.

I hope both your pets will be alright but is this vet of yours any good? Double testing a kitten for leukimia? I’m sorry but it sounds like he’s trying to con you out of money…

And just for fact sharing, there’s a rabbit breather around where I am that gives his buns bananas rather then ananas.

Sometimes kittens can get a false reading and they have to be retested a month later. I looked it up online and it’s pretty common. She is really active and healthy so I am sure she will be fine. Thank you for all the good healing vibes He seems to be doing a tiny bit better but I will know for sure on Monday
