One thing that suprised me more than anything when I first started fostering rabbits was how different and distinct their personalities were compared to a lot of other animals. I love reading about peoples’ rabbits and especially their personalities!

I’m still getting to know Theodore right now, but I’ll go with what I’ve learned so far.

Theodore is very curious but wary, laid-back (for the most part), calm yet playful when he wants to be, gentle and sweet. He loves his greens, pellets, and roaming the room/binkying in short intervals before returning to his cage.

        The fosters:

Ebony is very sweet and gentle, loves food of any kind, curious and adventurous

Chester is playful, sweet, friendly, and adventurous. His favorite thing is running around the pen binkying

Cecilia is wary, cautious, sweet and calm for the most part. She loves to follow mom and Chester but isn’t quite sure about people and weird noises

Otto is reserved, laid-back, and very lazy. He’s not very bright, but he learned a few tricks and now does them non-stop to get food out of us. He’s not cuddly, but he does give kisses and lets me hug him (because I trained him to let me hug him … lol)

Hannah is always serious, concerned with everything that’s going on, looking for adventure, and constantly begging for attention. She is very bossy with Otto, but isn’t a diva at all with people.

Powder – Laid back, calm, can be playful, very cuddly and a total attention seeker. He sleeps in the bed with me every night, will lay down for pets an hour at a time, total sweetheart.

Stickers – Crazy, hyper, destructive, diva with rabbitude. She wants to be left alone most the time, unless you have food. If you annoy her, expect to be thumped at. She will destroy anything that her teeth can touch as long as it isn’t toys you give her for that purpose. If you displease her highness by running out of treats, she will bite your fingers instead as a reminder you should bring more.

Bah I keep posting and BB loses the posts >.<

Ok so Lady is laid back but adventurous, shes the acrobat of the 2. She’ll jump on anything, even if its 2-3 feet up and a few inches wide. She loves people, is really affectionate, and wants to be where everyone is. She has a “flop” spot in the middle of the living room rug <3

Sam is about the opposite. Shes high strung, only likes my husband (but she plays with him like a dog would, chases and growls at him, I’d think she was angry but for the binkies every other step <3 ) She doesn't jump more than a foot to get up her cardboard house, and I had to bribe her to do that hah. She hangs out under our bed most of the day.

                Oh, fun!!!!

Huckleberry is kind of a grumpy bun. She is highly determined, if she has decided to do something (*cough*eat the couch*cough*) she will complete that task without distraction. Boyfriend is her favorite person in the world, I think she sees him as a super cool big brother or something, she follows him around everywhere. She binkies when she sees him and actually plays with him. She runs up to bump him and then runs away, he chases her and she binkies and races off. She keeps coming back for more. She sits by the bedroom door and waits for him to come out.
When food is involved, she gets so excited that she seems to go a bit brain dead and can’t find it. Late at night, she gets cuddly. That’s when I am her favorite person 😀 She comes up to me and pushes her face into mine and tooth purrs. I love it!!!

Hazel has a TON of personality for her tiny 2lb body! She is extremely social – She loves people and is generous with licks. When I sit on the couch after I get home from school to do homework, she jumps up next to me in “her” spot and waits for pets. She’ll lay there forever getting attention. When she wants more, she shoves her tiny head under my hand! She grooms my face, hands, feet, etc. and is a tooth-purring machine. She loves snuggles and I put my face right next to hers for cuddles. She leans into my hands and is such a love.

She is really attentive, and she definitely has our routine down. I call her when I am headed to bed, and she races into the bedroom, jumps up on her ottoman (which is her bed), and waits for her papaya treats. She usually sleeps in there through the night when I’m in bed, but she definitely roams the house at night – I hear her doing zoomies and binkies around the apartment, racing from one room to the other! She also chirps when she gets excited, which is adorable.

She likes most strangers; she is always investigating their things, and rearranging them! If my friends bring their notes, etc. over, Hazel will push their stuff out of “her” space. She’s super curious, and is always trying to get into whatever I’m doing. She climbs all over me when I’m eating, and I have to push her off of me! Coffee cups shouldn’t be put on the floor, because she shoves her head in the whole thing.

Hazel is rarely grumpy; she’ll give a thump or two if there’s a loud noise, or if I’m trying to wrangle her into her carrier. She’s only nipped me once after she’s been spayed, when I was picking her up and carrying her to the bathroom for a humidifying treatment (and I don’t blame her!).

Overall, she’s amazing. I don’t know what I’d do without her. She’s the biggest sweetheart, and I’m so happy I have her.

                    Penelope is hyperactive and twitchy.
She’s always exploring the house and binkies every 5 minutes. She’ll race around in circles until she tires herself out.
She’ll rest for a bit, then go back to running like crazy.
She’ll follow us around, race between our legs, push open doors with her nose, jump on beds and couches…
She’ll even beg for food and is very persistant in doing so.
Once, when I refused to share my cereal with her, she jumped in my cereal bowl (splattering almond milk and cereal everywhere!) and binkied away.

That description makes me wanna bunny-nap hazel emkvet!

Bunjamin is what I like to call, “The sweetest un-neutered bunny”. (Although the un-neutered part will change in the next couple of months)
He loves his pets. He’s a little timid at first to new people but once he sees your not going to harm him and he gets to sniff you he’ll ask for pets and zoomie around you. He circles people after he gets to know them or after they give him treats. He loves to jump up on my bed when I’m up there to ask for pets. He’ll let you pet him as long as your hands/arms will last. If he wants attention, more attention, he stalks my boyfriend and I until he gets it. He is super curious and loves new stuff and new areas. He outsmarts me almost daily and he’s definitely a climber- which makes him naughty But I honestly think he’s a big sweetie. He never hurts us intentionally (we’ve tripped over him several times)

Wilbur: brave but skittish, demanding, sweet, always gives me nose bumps, flops more than any rabbit I know

Totoro: loving, snuggly, lazy, jealous, food hog, big scardy cat, sweet, binkies a lot, does the “half binky” and runs towards me when I call him or walk into the room

                            Let’s see…

Monkey: Insane. Cranky. Queen of the Universe.

                            Moose: Scaredy-bun, shy, sensitive, messy.

Smudge: Sweet, snuggly, loves people, does get startled sometimes.

Squirrel: Squirrelly, silly, nutty, bouncy, likes to buzz at people.

All 4 of them live for the noms.

lol, hazel sticks her head in a coffee cup.. has she ever tasted it?

Chacha bun: She is very funny, demanding, determined, sweet, and loving. She will inspect new things that mommy brings home (whether it is a package I got in the mail, an empty box for her) and chin the item. She is very nosy. I lay on the ground and she will often come by and nudge me in the butt! She likes to butt nudge!! I don’t get it Is she a butt girl?

She lives for her treats – I put a papaya treat on my lips, and she will eat the papaya off my lips. She loves to give kisses after I give her a good pet. She knows her routine down REALLY WELL. In the morning, she will be waiting outside of my Dad’s room for her morning pellets.

Chacha bun loves her Mister John a little more than her mommy when he is around. He can sit down next to her, and she will immediately put her head down for pets. SHE LOVES HER MISTER

Chacha bun thumps at me.. a lot.. Most of the time, she thumps to get my attention, or ‘PET ME DAMMIT, NOW!’ or if she hears her Grandpa moving around in his room.

When I clean up her area, she gets pissed. She has thumped and grunted at me on several occasions

So far I have noticed Bunny was a paper shredder in a past life. Nothing is safe not even the boyfriends pants HA. She also loves kale. It was the first thing she felt brave enough to come close to me to get. To bad she only gets it every other day.

Winter on the other hand is a rug terror. Our small 4X2 rug is hers every time she has floor time. Not even the big bad old cat dares cross this 3 lb bun. Sometimes you can approach the mini queen on her throne as long as you have craisins in your hand. I also have noticed she will lay on my laptop when she wants some pets.

Since they are both my first buns it is a adventure learning their personalities and about how rewarding and challenging being a bunny slave is.

Goblin is sweet, he is kind of mischievious sometimes, he likes to jump on the bookshelves and knock stuff down or harass the dog. He is really sweet though, he loves to be close to me and follows me all over the place, he loves to be pet, he will nudge my cheek or nose with his nose and let me kiss him on the nose. Sometimes he just sits and listens to me talk and when I talk about him and say his name he gets excited and jumps up and shakes his head. He doesn’t like anyone else though, he is mommy’s little boy only

One thing that suprised me more than anything when I first started fostering rabbits was how different and distinct their personalities were compared to a lot of other animals.

I think this is one thing that a lot of people don’t know about bunnies. When people ask me what type of pet’s they make, that’s always something I mention, how they have way more personality than most people think. I was surprised after having several bunnies, they really can be as different as night and day, just like little people.

Stormy: He’s my senior bunny (going to be 8 this Spring) but he doesn’t know it. He’s full of energy. He spends most of his out-time exploring. He’s a bit of a daredevil and loves adventure. He’s also super sweet, he loves snuggles and gives so many kisses to his momma. But he is also very bratty, he knows that I can’t resist him when he wants a treat and he takes full advantage of that. Storm also likes to kick the cats out of “his” living room. He’s calmed down some, but when he was younger, we nicknamed him “The Two-Pound Terror”.

Bindi Loo: He’s my teddy bear. He’s just a big, fluffy easy-going guy. He loves to lounge around and be lazy. He also loves snuggle time with his Momma and his buddy, Stormy. When we have people over to the house, Bindi’s the one that usually captivates them the most. He loves everybody and is not shy with new people. He loves to lay on the couch with me while I read or watch TV. He can also be very demanding though. He’s very adamant that meals and run time are not late, or I will pay the price by having to clean the huge mess he makes in his condo.

Olivia: She’s the Diva of the house. She’s spoiled rotten and will not tolerate any less. She’s very opinionated and will honk, growl and/or pummel me if I displease her. She’s super territorial and hates having any of her things touched. She can also be very sweet though and just becomes more cuddlier and lovey as the years go on. But attention always has to be on her terms. Olivia’s also my funny bunny. She does stuff all the time that just makes me laugh, like her crazy super twisty binkies and when she beats up her stuffed bear.

Hodari is curious, like Chacha; she likes to inspect everything new, or anything that’s familiar but has been moved to a different location in her room. She tiptoes up to everything with her neck stretched way out. It’s so funny.

So, she’s cautious, too, except when she’s binkying. Goodness knows where she’ll land or what she’ll collide with when executing a binky! Makes me worry to death, but I still can’t help laughing at her silly antics.

She’s affectionate. Loves to be kissed, cuddled, and petted; will always kiss me in return as a “thank you.”

She’s good-natured – seldom has fits of temper. When she does get mad it’s usually because she REALLY wants to do something bad but DH and/or I keep stopping her. Then she’ll grunt. She doesn’t throw tantrums, or box or lunge. Most of the time she listens and behaves very well.

It seems like she has a sense of humor. She seems to enjoy committing minor infractions and binkying away when she gets scolded. Sometimes she pulls my hair, or tugs on the book I’m reading, then binkies away.

She’s content. She tooth-purs when lying down to rest after meals, and while being talked to and petted.

She tolerates changes well. If I change things around in her cage, it’s okay with her, she just wants to be in on the action. If I am cleaning the litter box, she likes to be right there supervising.

She loves to eat, especially hay and papaya. Papaya is heavenly apparently.

Rupert is outgoing and food oriented. He’s not nervous but he goes from zero to flee in 0.1 seconds if anything is questionable. But otherwise he’s super interested in everything and very attitudey. He’s also quite verbal. He’s yelled at me for a bum bath before, and he growls at kahlua so he can get treats first, and he’ll growl at Mikey if Mikey is trying for a bunny treat. He’s adventurous and loves going outside. I fancy he’s an environmentalist with his window fixation. He’s also a lazy fart and I’ll often find him contentedly with his food bowl or hay cube dragged into bed, all sprawled out and eating-while laying down. What a butt.

Kahlua is an enigma. I think she’s dumb, but then really is it dumb? if she stands for a treat far away from me and I rush over to give it to her-is she dumb or am I trained? When I give them the treat toy to get treats out of she waits for Rupert to solve the puzzle and steals the treat. Is she too dull to solve it or is she smarter to have him work and take the treat? She’s full of attitude and will stomp off and foot flick me for anything. She loves dumping the litter box all over. She throws things constantly. Actually here’s what she is-she’s a prissy princess with anger management issues XD lol
