So I’ve been thinking of preparing a bunny emergency kit but realised simethicone is not sold where I am.
There are two alternatives that I managed to find online, but I’m not sure if they are a good replacement.

        They are:

        1) Dentinox

The Active Substance Is: Activated Dimeticone 42 Mg/5Ml

The Other Ingredients Are: Purified Water, Sucrose, Carbomer, Dill Oil, Sodium Hydroxide and Nipasept [Methylhydroxybenzoate E218, Ethylhydroxybenzoate E214, Propylhydroxybenzoate E216]

        2) Woodward’s Gripe Water

Active Ingredients: Each 5ml spoonful contains: Terpeneless Dill Seed Oil 2.3mg/5ml, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate 52.5mg/5ml

        Also contains: E215, E217, E219

        *Another site mentions:

Terpeneless Dill Seed Oil 2.3 mg

        Sodium Bicarbonate 52.5 mg

        Nipasept Sodium 0.15% w/v

Which is a better choice, if at all?

So apparently Infacol, which is simethicone, contains dimeticone

So I would have thought that Dentinox might be ok? Wick is normally good at these sort of medical things!

Is Infacol not available anywhere like Amazon?

I agree, I think it’s a similar preparation. I wouldn’t be too worried about the dimethicone (used in cosmetics and some pharmaceutical products) Im more concerned about the sodium hydroxide. Im not sure what it’s purpose is or if harmful. The other things appear to be preservatives and the carbomer is likely a thickener.

There are so many products with different brand names that contain simethicone. The adult liquid capsules can be used also, squirting a portion of it out.

I did read that rabbits apparently like the gripe water, if that helps? I also read about giving rabbits cooled peppermint tea for tummy trouble! I definitely want to try that in the future.

@S&L Unfortunately we don’t have Amazon and only a very selected few Amazon UK/US sellers ship here. It would also become super expensive due to currency + shipping (maybe about 50 bucks for a small 50ml bottle). Ebay might be a better option but I’m more wary of sellers there.

@jersey I’m more worried about emergency situations since I don’t usually have peppermint in my house lol!
