demanding head rubs

anyone else bunnies very forceful about getting head rubs? if my hand is near…hershey will immediately push her head under it and wait for a massage. it’s really cute ..but tiring to keep giving her pats! especially if i’m doing something hehe

Oh yes! Some of our buns can be like that. Hoopie is like that with both my husband and I. He will nip at us and walk all over us and move things out of the way for head rubs. So cute!

Absolutely!  Gracie is still warming up to us but Archie demands head rubs all the time.  He’ll come up to you and push your hand or leg to get petted and if you stop he immediately starts digging at your pants until you pet him again.  He loves to get pets

My buns do this to me, but not really to my husband as much. They sure will nip at your fingers and nudge you till you pet them! Ahh buns…priceless.

Apparently you have not yet learned that You – Naz – as Human must stop everything to rub Your rabbit until such time as the rabbit deems the rubbing to be of satisfactory quality and quantity. Failure to do so will and can result in peeing on your belongings, chewing your belongings, random and unexplained thumping in the middle of the night, litter digging and throwing, occasional bouts of unexplained symptoms that could mimic stasis ( but aren’t, silly human) and the right to refuse any food item that has previously been accepted or loved.

All of these rules are subject to change at will and within the discretion of the individual bun.

The sooner you succumb to your bunny overlord the better it will be for everyone.

Oh, and if you’re sleeping when said bun demands attention, you must immediately wake up for head rubs, pets, and cuddles. Your bunny will appreciate this and generously reciprocate when he feels you’ve been a good human. Soon you will have the supreme joy of waking up to your bunny licking your feet! This has been the case for me the last three nights. I am truly blessed to have such a generous bun

Mine will demand head pets endlessly. Once, I tried an experiment to see how long I would have to pet Henri before he would stop digging at my pants when I stopped petting. It took 1.5 hours!

HAHA LizzieknittyBun! I definitely have succumb. MooBunnay, Jack is completely like that now.(I think due to Rucy)….anyway, I was on the floor with a bunch of pillows petting Jack while I watched the recordings of Lost,30 rock and The office. (we record via DTV) I figured this is the only way I’ll be able to pet him for so long – to be entertained somehow, and then even after all of that time, he could have continued on!

If we’re on the couch, Quantum will head-bump your ankle. If you move it, thinking she wants through, she’ll bonk you again. If that doesn’t work, she’ll grab the bottom of my blue jeans and tug on them. I’m better off than poor Mike–he gets his feet nipped! Once properly cued, the bunny slaves then pet said bunny until she’s had enough. If your laying on the couch and a hand happens to be dangling, then she’ll just bring her head up under your hand. Follow-through is as above. Poor, poor neglected bun!
