Okay, so I opened one of my two-pie cans last week sometime and put about 2/3 of it in the freezer in one of those plastic GLAD tubs. I just pulled it out yesterday and since it took a day to thaw, only began feeding it to Fiver last night. (He seemed to really appreciate the COLD and frosty punkinz with all our hot, hot weather of late.)

Question: how long will this defrosted pumpkin last for? I don’t want him to be eating spoiled food, he has enough digestive trouble.

        Many thankies in advance!

I would not want to find out if I were you how long it takes to go bad, but instead next time you open a can I would fill it into icecube containers and give him one cube’s worth at a time. So you will not run out because anything went rotten.

Thanks Petzy, that’s a great idea! I’ll do that.
Yeah, I meant to put it in a smaller container, but there was more than I had smaller boxes for, so I kind of lumped it all into one…realized my mistake afterwards.

I do that too… I just want to put stuff away quickly and then I end up having to thaw an enormous batch.

So I should probably just toss the stuff I thawed? 0_o Do you think it’s still any good?
