Debate on Head Tilt

Ok can anyone help me, I am having a debate with a gentlemen on Facebook about Headtilt. He says that it can be corrected by chiropractic manipulation, I was under the impression that this can not only possibly injure a rabbit more, but can even possibly kill one. Does anyone have any information about this subject?

I guess I would ask him if he has personal experience with this – someone debating about something like this makes me wonder if they are just being a troll. Do you know this person personally?

no I don’t know him. he had posted on my page The Bunny Barn after I shared a picture of a bunny named Tedi. she is suffering from severe Head Tilt. the person that is debating on this with me is a DR. G. thats all the info I have on them. and this is what they posted.
Dr. Daniel Kamen wrote books for The Well Adjusted Cat, The Well Adjusted Dog, and The Well Adjusted Horse. When taking the seminars, the anatomy and physiology of other big and small animals is included and is hands on for the participants to work on the various animals, so if anyone is considering taking their rabbit to a chiropractor, they should have the certification from his course. However, it is important to note that not all chiropractic state boards allow animal adjusting and those which do state that the doctor must have certification to do so. Also, some states require that the adjusting of animals by a chiropractor be done under the supervision of a vet. Therefore, a little research is necessary to find out which states allow the animals to be adjusted and what the specific protocols are. I do know that there are some double license doctors out there who are both chiropractors and vets so as to meet their states requirements.

Ok, I take it back, This Dr. does have his ducks lined up in a row!!! He has shared some valuable information with me, as the chiropractic care is part of helping rehabilitation after the causes have been addressed. He seems like a good knowledgeable fellow!!

That’s great! Sometimes the alternative medicines can greatly benefit rabbits – I’ve never done chiropractic but I have done holistic and acupuncture.
