Dare I hope

 4th treatment of the scrub.  Seems the swelling went down.  Hubby thinks this scrub is definitely helping.  I am more cautious about it. 

everything else we tried worked for the first week but never really healed his lip.  Then week 3 and 4 stopped working. 

Time will tell.   I can’t wait til monday and even wednesday.  We will know for sure then.

Cotton isn’t hiding today.  When I let the scrub soak I hold him and sing to him.  After I run a wet cotton ball over it and put the iodine I hold him and sing to him again passing treats to him. 

He seems to enjoy that. 

I will be dissapointed Ruby won’t be able to live in the living room but I will be so overjoyed if Cottons lip heals and i don’t have to put him down. 

That will make my year. Time hurry up so I can know for sure it will heal. I don’t want my hopes dashed agian

Persist, Persist! Every little bit will help him because if the swelling is reducing, he’ll be able to eat better, mood should pick up and generally he’ll be in a better postion to fight this. (((((Cotton & BT))))))

 I felt so good last nite.  I was talking to my Mom on the phone.  Cotton ran to his house to eat.  A little later he ran out to his litter box to eat some hay.  Then he jumped to his fav spot and relaxed.   A little later he dashed to his house again and ate some more. 

One side one little spot seems to be healing. I took some pics yesterday of his cute little face sticking out of the towel.  lol.   He hasn’t come for pettings last nite tho.  Maybe he is mad.   I remember some nites previous I had to go pick him up and bring him to the couch for his pettings. That was b4 the scrub started. 

My Mom said if this doesn’t work try watering down some peroxide and putting it on there.

Now that I sing to Cotton when I hold him for his treatment I can’t get his Cotton songs out of my head.  I was doing laundry humming and singing Cotton songs.  I was singing to Fouad and trying to put his name in too.  lol..

I know those are just pics and not Cotton in person  but does it look any better to y’all? 

Gosh just imagine it working and all this time all he needed was a 6.00 bottle of surgical scrub

 Awe let me try again.     Isnt he cute all wrapped up.   Poor guy.   I just treated it again.  He is now hiding by the hay containers.   IN a little bit I am going to go get him and bring him to the couch to pet him.   I love this little bunny so much.   Yes he is my favorite.   I love Ruby too and would do the same for her.   Cotton is my 2nd bunny after Laith.   He will be 3 in March or April..    Hopefully there will be pics instead of red boxes.  I dont’ understand my computer sometimes.

Hmm I’m sad its red boxes, I want to see how Cotton is progressing! I’m so glad that it seems to be helping, me and the buns will keep praying that Cotton gets all the way better soon! He is so lucky to have such a great bunny mom.

I have no idea, I’m seeing everything! Technical: I use Google chrome as my browser, but everything else is pretty standard? I’m not sure if that would make a difference.

That video is so cute.   However did you find it?  Yep Cotton has to see it.

I am at the desktop and will try to get his recent pics in.  These are from yesterday afternoon.  HE is all bundled up but you can see his lip good in some of them. 

I showed him his calendar pic and he autographed it.  Tonight he is a little beggar.  I gave him a piece of apricot.  OH my he followed me around begging.  Fouad tried to give him a piece but Cotton only smelled it he wouldn’t take it from no one but me.  HE is doing a lot of grooming too.  When I see him now I don’t see his messed up parts of his lip anymore.  I see pink lip.  It still has a wide area messed up but 1 spot is seeming to heal.  Hopefully the others follow.

That’s fantastic news, BT! Oh I pray it keeps up! Wow, that’s a big lip for such a little bunny! Whatt a cutie! His face shape reminds me of Pippi’s actually. Cotton IS a lionhead, isn’t he?

 rofl  Alfred Hitchcock lip   thats a good one.  I am going to have to nickname Cotton the lip and alfred lol.   Poor guy getting picked on.

This  morning the little spot that was healing the scab got way smaller.   The scabs left this morning I pulled them off and rubbed the scrub where they were to be sure I am getting under them to the source of the problem.  Called debriding the wound. 

So you really really think it looks better.   I am so excited.  Gosh I hope it completely heals soon.  

We are still working at it.   Ruby is getting more attention now too.  Since all my focus isn’t  100 % on Cotton now.  I was so upset about the LIP I was neglecting her somewhat.  

Hubby’s sister fell and broke her hand.  She has surgery on it Sunday and is home today.  He keeps insisting I go with him to see her.  How I want to but they won’t let me bring the buns.  They are scared of them.  Now who is scared of a rabbit. 

I talked to Nany Fouads neice she said no don’t bring them.   Well I guess I won’t be going over there anytime soon.  I have to continue to treat Cottons lip.  If I stop now and that stuff comes back it may never go away building up a resistance. He was there for Ramadan and wanted me to bring them and leave them in an open  garage.  Even outside.  NO WAY over my dead body.

OH well 1 big happy news is that his lip looks better. Ahhhh relief.

HE is a lionhead dutch mix.  Or a dutch colored dwarf lionhead mix.   I think dutch lionhead mix is the most likely

HE is not bobbing his head for hay anymore.  He can pick them up no problem.  It used to look like he was bobbing for apples the way he bounced his head around trying to pick up a piece. 

Am happy that I am managing to keep under his chin dry too.  It was wet for the first few treatments so now I dry it off  b4 I let him down.

 lol Katie   a hand pump  yes HURRAH for Cotton.

He is starting to growl at me and box me now when I go get him for treatment.   Thats ok.   I don’t mind since so far it is working. He is in his fav spot resting. His midday nap.  

Relief I won’t have to put him down.  Sure would have been hard. May take several more treatments to heal completely though. 

I just hope this scrub doesn’t stop working.

Oh, I’m glad he is getting better! They are afraid of these teeny tiny little rabbits…well at least it will make Cotton and Ruby feel big :~)

I’m still curious as to what the cause of Cotton’s lip problem is though…did they ever send out the 2nd biopsy.

It sounds like it’s very effective and he’s starting to heal. Post more pix if you can in a couple of days so we can compare.

Sorry to hear about hubby’s sister. Probably an infection would be bad for both she and Cotton to be exposed to. You just never know what everyone might be carrying.

crazy computer  lol   I see the red boxes now.  It was pictures up til yesterday.  Then even mine turned into red boxes.

OH well.

Cotton is going to his Dr. Saturday.  She wants to check this out.  I will probably take him in again a week or so after  this too. 

Red boxes  I even went to the desktop to get them to paste.  Don’t know what to do now.  Yikes.
