damp nose

 Hey guys.

Warri has always had a damp nose every since I got him 5 years ago. It’s clear and not very much, just makes his nose damp and sometimes the fur below a bit wet looking. Every time I’ve taken him to a bunny vet I always mention it and every time the vet isn’t concerned about it. The last time he was at the vet was in January and he got a clean bill of health except for his chubbiness. He behaves and eats normally, too. I’ve looked it up online and for the most part what I’ve found is if it’s a small, clear discharge it’s not a big concern.

This morning I saw that the inside of his front paws are wet looking and his nose is a bit wetter than normal. I was cleaning out their room yesterday and it got dusty, so I’m hoping that he just has an irritation from dust and this extra wetness will go away soon. I also got a new bag of hay yesterday, so who knows.

 So I’m wondering if anyone else’e bunny has a constant wet nose. I don’t know how normal this is.

Otto’s nose doesn’t appear wet, but when he bumps me with it there is some dampness, and that’s normal for him.

Does he drink water from a bowl or a bottle?

Sounds like Warri and Otto are similar, just wetness from his nose when I get bumped.
He drinks from a bowl but I know it’s not from that.

I have a Rabbit who has a almost constant damp nose, though it’s his eyes that are mostly runny. He is a carrier of Pasturella.
When we go outside I notice the amount of dischage can increase, same with if he finds himself exploring under something that is dusty underneith.

Hopefully it was just irritation from hay dust flying around when I was cleaning up, I didn’t realize he was in the maze when I was cleaning up some old hay in there. I have also had their window wide open the past few days since it’s been getting hot, maybe he’s allergy prone.

Anyway, I feel better knowing that there are other bunnies out there with similar problems.

Jersey wants to join the damp nose club. I’ve mentioned to vet before too and she doesn’t seem concerned.
