I found other threads on tail wagging but none very recent.

I just saw Mr. Bun-Bun do this for the first time over the weekend. He was being naughty and digging around where he knows he’s not supposed to. I told him “no no no!” and clapped my hands, then he went running to the part of the apartment where he always lets me catch him, but was wagging his wee tail back and forth just like a puppy the whole time! I swear it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, and how funny that he’s lived with me for a half year and I’ve never seen him do that!

I agree that it appears to be a playful taunt. Has anyone else seen this, or do you have video of it?

Cotton will wag his tail teasing Fouad.       Cotton will try to go to a space we dont’ want him to be at.

Fouad makes a noise so he won’t go.  Then comes Cotton a running around the living room tail puffed and wagged

LOL…I never knew bunnies wagged their tails either, until I saw Fiver doing it. Mostly when I come to clean his pen. He’ll also shake his ears at me from time to time, which is an improvement on when he first came to live with me, as he’d use them as weapons….WHAPWHAPWHAP…OUCH! ^_^

Pip is a BIGtime tail wagger. She is much like Mr. Bun-Bun, as she is usually running from me when she does it. It’s like a big ‘na-na-na-na-na-na…can’t catch me!’
Then of course I must offer a treat for her being so ‘clever’….*gigglesnort*

Sadly I have no video of it. Our place is so dark, even if I did get it on my FLIP camera, (this of course means I have to actually have it WITH me, which I never do) you wouldn’t be able to see it well.

Man that’s the problem with so much bunny behavior! Unless you have a video camera at the ready 24/7, their cute behaviors are too quick and fleeting to capture! Not to mention the tail wag would be hard to capture since the bunny is running AWAY.

My friend was visiting over the weekend and met Bun-Bun for the first time. She’s never been around rabbits so I was trying to get him to binky for her (he does the most elaborate high and joyful binkies!) Usually if I get him a little hyper and start clapping my hands he does a binky or two. But did he binky for her even once all weekend? NO. She still loved him and thought he was adorable though!

Lolli wiggles her tail. From what I can tell, she uses it to indicate interest and teasing/excitement. She also licks her lips sometimes when she’s getting treats. lol
