That dumb computer guy who never fixed my computer mic hook up put a dinosaur for my curser. I went to curser mania and found some rabbits. I got the brown one that wiggles his ears. It is cute.
Yes y’all go take a look.
And Rabbits are taking over my computer. The curser Ruby and me. I was born in year of the rabbit in chinese astrology. So I count as a rabbit too. The year of the rabbit and cat are the same years by the way
Agh Ruby PLEAAAAASE![]()
ok let me go and drown her with attention.
yes i have a bunny for my cursor too hehe
It pains me to think of how some computer guys behave…
If you need computer help, I could try from a distance. It’s what I do when I’m not a rabbit mom.
Oh cool really? I put in a new sound card and it worked fine in the old mic hole. Now when I go back there and wiggle it it comes in and out. I have to take things apart again and play with it. I can’t be getting sound cards every 3 months for my mic to work.
Thats crazy.
Yeah that computer guy spruced up my computer but never got the mic fixed he said it worked fine at his house. We checked for a short. No go. I wonder if the speakers are shorting it out. I have a new speaker maybe I try that and see. Well tomorrow i will be up to it. Not today tho.
Is the mic hole on the card itself, elsewhere on the case, or in the speakers?
The mic hole is on the new soundcard itself. I also have a place on my machine thingy in the back and in the front. NO the mic doesn’t connect to the speakers just behind my machine there. I haven’t taken it apart yet to inspect and see what it c ould be.
I hate computers when they don’t work as they should.
Pearl changed my curser to a dragging big arrow thing … drove me insane. I’d prefer the boring ol’ arrow … but I should change it … those rabbit ones sound great.
I have recently had my home lappy fixed … now Vista Windows has been removed … thank goodness for that … that program was as useless as boobies on a bull … and its much faster too.
it’s really annoying when you pay someone to do a job and they don’t do what they’re supposed to especially when it’s something you use quite often the the
OH I paid him 200 to fix all problems. Actually the mic was the one i wanted fixed. HE said my computer had some corrupted stuff so he did a good job on all that. But the mic still didn’t work. I wasn’t happy.
I went to office depot across the street and bought a sound card. Worked great til the other day. I wonder if my speaker is shorting it out. Cause the wire from speaker to computer is kind of short and the speaker gets knocked down too must have messed things up again. I am going to look at things today take the panel off and poke around in there.
I am missing 1 of my classes cause I have no mic. doggone.
Hopefully I can figure out the problem.
if he said he would do that and didnt, contact him and tell him he either needs to fix it or you will contact trading standards as you paid him for a job he didnt do – im clued up on my consumer rights because i was fed up on getting screwed over.
yeah darn guy. HE said it worked fine at his house he and his daughter played with it for an hour fooling around. He brought it back to me and didn’t work. HE wanted to charge me to put a sound card in it. Humpf I can do that myself. and I did.
Well I took it all apart yesterday vacuumed it out. Looked good to me. Put it all back together and the mic if I jiggled the wire attached to back of computer it would come in n out in 2 diff mic holes. I have 3 mic holes.
I got onto the speaker icon bottom right. Made sure all was on and not muted. I got into my xtreme sound soundcard icon same place. Made sure everything was on. No more speaker even with jiggling.
I did discover that the speaker does have a short in it. I tried to open it wouldn’t come open so I nailed it with the hammer. I knew it had problems b4 I did that. I was trying to get a wire out to use for my other main speaker. No go. I did have to wiggle it to get the 2 speakers working. I can’t use the other one yet cause I dont’ have the proper wire ends for it. Just yet.
OH this is soooo frustrating. I wonder if I unplug the speaker if the mic would work. I could try it.
The guy thought was a short somewhere too. We tried mouse and keyboard no shorts there. Got to be that speaker.
Shoot. NOw I got to play with it some more. I spent 3 hours yesterday on it.
I have to make up to honey bun he got left out.
might be easier 2 just get new speakers they arent to expensive usually
Hey! Sorry I haven’t replied in a while!
You might pick up a cheap pair (like $10 or so) as Kimberly suggested just to see if you can isolate the problem. Is this still going on?
Isn’t Cursor Mania one of those things that dumps a load of extra spyware and junk on your hard drive? Or was that Comet Cursor? *is confused*
If so, a whole ton of cookies on your computer could cause some problems.
*thinks of dealing with the cookies just to have bunny cursors*
cookies arent really a big deal, if everyone has a good spyware checker it wont matter, there is one cursor website i know which does have alot of spyware but just get a checker thing.
I didn’t notice any spyware or cookies from cursor mania. Nor from smiley central either. I do have a good spyware firewall and anti virus blockers.
No I need another sound card. The speakers short wire got jerked when they fell off and must have bent the mic hole right next to it. I am trying to find speaker wires for the other speaker I found. It needs the plug in on both ends to hook to the speaker and computer. The speaker I had the wire is attached to it.
I bought wire at walmart but it doesn’t fit.
have to go to a radio shack or something. I dont’ think I am going to get a 2nd soundcard just for a mic. Maybe in a couple of months. Just not right now. The start button is a morse code thingy. My neighbor hooked it up so I could use my computer. I don’t want to take it apart right now and mess all that up til I get the correct wire from a computer store down the street.
Also I have tie wrapped the speaker to the desk so it won’t fall again hehehee. ![]()
I upgraded to that new Firefox 3 and it killed my antispyware proggie. >.< Me no likie.
I went and checked out the cursors, but it’s going to load a new toolbar on my browser so I kinda wimped out. ![]()
Ah, glad you isolated the problem at least. I’ve managed to kill a few of my input jacks (usb) by knocking something over too :-/.
