I have posted this a few places to see if anyone can tell me what this animal is. I seen it on craigslist and it FREAKED me out lol. It kind of looks like a hairless opossum only not lol. CREEPINESS! Yeah would not want to wake up to that in my bed that is for sure.

Proceed at your own risk lol.

I dunno….not one picture really has that funny eye reflection you normally get when taking snap shots………… don’t think it’s real either.

Weird. The only thing i can think up is a peruvian hairless (dog)

                http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/02NI1Qw8w0bLc/610x.jpg

but the dog has longer ears thicker snout etc.

It looks like some sort of rodent …animal..thing.. that has a skin problem…

                I wonder if it’s friendly

“kubalibra” haha did they mean chupacabra?

I somehow doubt the person’s intelligence regardless of if it’s real.

It looks like an ugly chihuahua.

It looks like Anubis. You know the Ancient Egyptian dog thing they put in the tombs to guard the dead.

There are ugly hairless dogs.  I think there is a breed from mexico that is hairless and ugly like that.

Yeah I was thinking   chupacabra too.    Nice to have as a gargoyle on the front porch by my front door though.  Hehee.

I dont’ know the hairless ugly breeds name but I know it exists.

No not a Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless) I have seen more than a few of those up close and personal and none had the creepiness factor of that animal. I thought Xoloitzcuintli at first as well but it doesn’t really have a canine muzzle and probably not canine teeth lol.

severe mange can cause the hairlessness.  It almost looks like a fox.

I am not sure what it is- but it does look like a real animal though.  Creepy, but real.  There are TV shows about the chupacabra and the theory that they are hairless coyotes, wolfs or dogs that have a severe skin disease due to mange.

Does this person imply that animal control came and picked this thing up?  Cripes, I would have to move.  That is so disgusting and scary.

Okay how weird am I that I looked at it and my first thought was “oh that is so cute!”.  It looks like a cross between a bat and a chihuahua!

I was totally thinking that, Annette! Don’t some breeds of bats have the pointy-nose like that?! I always wanted one…except the cute bats are the ones that are carnivores. Veggie-bats have ugly smashed-in faces..

It reminds me a bit of this one – sorry the video is a little far away, it’s the best zoom I could get when taking it.

Like a wingless bat-dog that craigslist thing is!  I think I even see the little fingers in one of the pictures!

OK It looks to me to have prehensile paws (more hand like then anything)

I’m thinking illegal exotic, old world primate. NOT a dog or a cat.

And that first pic-scary I’m going to have nightmares

a mangy rabit coon.   That explains that face.  Yuck.  Sure looks weird without hair doesn’t it.

So that is what a raccoon looks like without its fur.

I thought it was a fox bat too but the tail threw me.

Here’s a link to a newsletter that also has a caged hairless raccoon.  Page 7.
