My parents bought some new (and expensive ($15-$25)) pellets for Blossom and Thumper and I tried it out but I don’t think they like them (can’t say I blame them, it smells horrible) but something told me to check it out further and I couldn’t find the Nutrition Facts on the bag. I decided to see if I can find something about it online but I couldn’t really find much (only one website kind of gives a Nutrition Fact list) and I found out that this brand isn’t heard of very much. I’m feeling VERY unsure of these pellets now and I would like to know if someone more educated can tell me if they’re actually good or not. The pellets are called Nutrena Country Feed 16% Rabbit Feed, the link for a good picture and better facts is here: https://www.nutrenaworld.com/product/country-feeds-16-rabbit-feed

I can’t find the ingredients but the fact that their website says it isn’t necessary to feed hay makes me question the companies knowledge on rabbits. I wouldn’t trust a compamy that doesn’t acknowledge the importance of hay (and doesn’t just not acknowledge, literally state how unimportant it is!)

There are at least 2 websites that I know of that list and compare pellet brands. I don’t see that brand isn’t listed on either site.

Besides the fact that the company says hay isn’t necessary for rabbits, which is totally wrong, I wouldn’t trust a company that doesn’t list the product ingredients on the bag or on their website.

If they’ve not had the oxbow ones before, make sure you start off with a small amount.

Sorry for the late reply! I’ve been giving them less than half of their pellet bowls for a few days and I’ve been thinking of giving them half tomorrow.
