Well it seems Marshmallows hormones are starting to work lol. He was so good about his litter pan and now …. well its poo bomb time. Marshmallow discovered the hallway and marked it as his and now everytime let him out to play his first thought it seems is to head straight there to make sure it is still his lol .In his pen he has a second level that he hasnt ever went on untill this morning I guess he is now old enough for adventure. He had loads of fun jumping up there running across and jumping down ..I took a nap and when I woke up I saw it….. his entire second level is covered with poos and he even peed up there uggg .He has never peed outside his litter pan since he was litter trained . So I go clean up that mess and he left me another wet gift right beside his litter pan the little dickens. He is 3 months old now and the vet says when he is 4 months he will be ready for the nueter  ,sigh one more month .I guess Ill have to keep myself armed with the wisk broom and dust pan and bottle of cleaner

This is totally normal! Many times baby buns pick up on the litterbox right away. It feels natural to them to have a specific place to “do their business”. But once they reach that special time (typically 3-4 months) those hormones kick in and suddenly they lose the good habits. Fortunately your vet will do the neuter soon. Some vets prefer to wait until 6 months, even with boys. Keep cleaning up after him and count down the days.

Thank you very much Beka. We got him a second litter pan for the top level too and while he is useing it he still is making a nice mess for me up there right in front of it lol.Silly Marshy i think he enjoys watching me toss the poos in the litter pan some times i think i can see him laughing at silly mommy .as soon as i clean it up he goes right back for another deposit. But to make up for it he will give me lots of kisses while we play in the floor together every evening how can you be upset with such a love bunny, we truely enjoy every bit of him even when he makes me work harder at times

He sounds like such a sweetie! Do you have a thread with more pics of him? I’d love to see some close-ups! He looks like a grayish-blue dutch?

My Nixie is just reaching the 5 month mark and has started marking and chinning EVERYTHING this past week. I forgive her though, cause that chinning is just so darn cute!

Exactly what happened with my bun. He was a good boy, but then when the hormones started up he started going *everywhere* He even decided to tell my boyfriend, when he came to visit what was what by pooping in his hair while he slept! Luckily after the snip he was a pretty good pooper.

Stacy, where is the beautiful Marshmellow boy? I miss seeing him. Is everything still going ahead for the snip?

Thank you lol I have been dealing with family illnesses alot in the last 2 weeks and hadnt been on the computer much to check in with you all .I promise I will post some new pics of Marshy very soon .His snip is coming so fast too.In fact it is going to happen Monday I am kinda excited but also very scared I know it is nessacery and is well needed but I cant help but feel so nervous about handing over my baby for a whole day and night and having him go through that scary surgery . He is such a little sweetie but man o man hormones have realy taken over his little mind .His litter box habbits have really gone down hill from what thay were and I have to confine him to just my living room for play time he seems to think that my hall way and laundry room have to be sprayed and scattered with his mess as soon as he can make it out his cage its a beline stright towards thoughs spaces lol I am hoping and praying that the nutuer will help us with that only time will tell but he is already shown me he is a smart little man and will do well once the hormones have had time to ware off . I hope at least He is also “courting” me everytime I let him out or come inside the cage .Its soooo cute him running around my feet saying hey I love you! I told my husbad what it ment,”Hey lets have babies” when he ran around my feet and he laughed so hard .I will keep yall updated on it and i will get some new pics of him before the weekend is over and post them he has gotten so big I cant beilve it .

Aw, poor you dealing with a hormonal bunny at such a time. Hope things pick up soon. You’ll likely notice a positive difference in Marshmellow within a month. Sending (((good health vibes)) your way.
