My cat, Ozzy, sometimes tries to play with my bunny, Bella, and my she runs away because it seems to scare her. Ozzy’s, well, a cat, so his idea of playing is dashing and/or batting. Ozzy’s old and declawed, so he doesn’t actually try to “hunt” Bella. It’s apparent because he lightly chases her and never bears his teeth or anything. I always scold Ozzy for doing this because I’m under the impression Bella doesn’t like it and that it scares her.

Just recently, however, I realized that, even though Bella runs away from Ozzy, she never thumps. She’s even hopped to the edge of the living room rug after Ozzy wandered off as if to say “where <g class="gr_ gr_1269 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="1269" data-gr-id="1269">ya</g> goin'?" Could it be that Bella realizes Ozzy's just playing and is okay with it?</p>

My bunny wants to be friends with my cat in the worst way. She will even chase her as the kitty runs away. I think it is very possibly she wants to be friends, but they are still prey animals and therefore kind of wary

My cats and bunny want to be friends but there is a definite communication barrier. Moonpaw will try and groom the cats (which they are confused by) and follows them everywhere. When he’s inside a box the cats will try and bat at him and roll around on the floor which Moonpaw is baffled by. There are attempts, but they never seem to get on the same page and figure out how to play.
