  and just risk having to redo it in 4 months?
  
  I was sitting by Lady’s pen today and Samson was free, she came over and (with me right there and a hand on Samson) stuck her nose through the pen, and Lady groomed her a little. Then she moved (she was sitting in her litterbox) and they layed nose to nose for about 20 minutes with me petting both (Lady through the wires, Samson next to me). I got a bit of banana and was going to put it on their noses but when Samson saw the banana she ran to her pen (I guess she thinks she only gets treats in her pen? Silly bunny). So now I’m wondering if I should go ahead and try, Lady is pretty mellow and I think its really just going to be a matter of Samson grooming her back.

  Why would you need to redo it in 4 months? One is unaltered I assume – which one? If the female, you risk fighting as her hormones mature.

  If one is unaltered, you should definitely wait. it won’t be a true bond, and will end up being just a “make me babies!” kind of relationship. Not to mention mroe aggression as they mature. And potentially more vet bills. i wouldn’t risk it.

  They are both girls, and Lady isn’t spayed yet.
