yesterday we went out to get stuff and I took Cotton. in his carrier. He seemed to enjoy it. at one point I stayed in the car and petted him he came out the carrier and poked his head around went back in and was eat his hay and come out on my shoulder look around and go back in. when hubby driving I continued to pet cotton and he stretched out and seemed to enjoy it. cool. I was hoping he wasn’t getting nauseous or somethign cuz they can’t vomit. he was fine. he would stretch out with his princely pose. in his carrier.

we went in the library and I was lookin over a bunny book while hubby looked around and cotton wanted to come out I am sure to chew the book while I read it like with the newspaper. he seems to not mind going places. once n a while i take him somewhere. no wonder cotton will not tolerate another bun in the house he is just toooo spoilt. he doens’t seem to miss her. I am giving extra attention even tho. I am going to her dad’s house to see how Itty Bitty  is doing. yeah pet stores scare me how do they know where those buns are going and how they will be treated. well there are good people out there willing to learn how to care for their bun. fortunately and there is proof from people on this site too to verify that.

Thats cute …. And he went for a library trip … aawwww.  I guess there is no law in Florida about taking pets to public places.  The only pets allowed in shops etc are guide dogs in Australia.

My other bun Sprinkles, would also come for car rides with me to my then boyfriend’s place.  She would just sit on the front seat … was quite content and never moved … however, when I would change the gears she would want a head pet.  She loved to romp in his huge back garden area and would come in later in the evening to go to bed in her cage.

Glad to hear too that you are paying a visit to see Itty Bitty.

I live in Florida, and I’m scared to take her anywhere. I took her to a friends house once. Holly did well. I never thought about the library.

Well, not the vets. I meant public places.

no they don’t allow pets her eeither however I noticed if in a purse carrier lookin thing they never notice or say anything. but a regular carrier they notice right off. and at superwalmart I go in thru the plant section so they never say anything if I go in thru the food section tho they may notice. and if I take him out of the carrier they definitely say nooo  lol. but I notice sometimes a little chihuahua in a purse carrier adn no one says anything. so I tried it too. and it works well Itty Bitty is home again she bit the girl I guess and she got scared. wasn’t meant to be I guess. hubby just gona have to cope and so will I. and cotton I guess don’t let her out to play as much. the mess is the hay. and I didn’t notice anymore sludge. however I am taking her to the vet have an appmnt this afternoon just in case has a problem after all. so I am going to keep her. and try to not be such a neat nik. clean well twice a week vacuum and mop once a week best i can do oh my poor back. hurt so bad yesterday I cleaned the whole house.

just the floors and ouchieeee was so upset about it. Oh, bunnytowne, I’m so happy you have her back, and really understand how much you have to make changes to accommodate her.
My mother suffers with sciatica, and it’s awful to see someone you love in that kind of pain at times. Maybe you can get some help in getting them bonded, so at least you can eventually have them both together in one set up.

Have you seen those long handled brooms with pans that you can sweep into standing up, not bending over? I think Bed, Bath & Beyond sells them. (I’m in FL too.) Also, I got these great absorbent rugs for animals when Spockie was incontinent, (Palace Pet Beds online) and it wicked away moisture without getting soaked through too soon. I’m thinking if you put some squares of those down in spots where they give you trouble (you can cut them to size easily) then you could just pick them up and toss in the washing machine & dryer. Less sweeping/scrubbing. Do you use an upright vacuum or a canister? The hose and nose of a cannister is much lighter than an upright if that’s hard for you.

Whatever happened to kids who wanted to make a few bucks a week and did paper routes and small chores? Wouldn’t it be nice to just hire a local teen to stop by every other day to do a quick pick up after the bunnies for a few dollars a week? Those days are gone I guess.
