My Dad thinks that George should live in a small animal cage which we know isn’t safe. How should I convince him that it is too small for rabbits to be in small animal cages?

I find it sad that any human with common sense still thinks animals should be kept in tiny cages :-/

Maybe show him videos of rabbits running and binky-ing? Show him that a cage needs to be big enough to allow a rabbit to be happy.

Advise him to look at The House Rabbit Society guidelines or come on BB to get advice.
A bun should be able to hop at least 3 times in his cage and stand up on back legs. Of course this is in addition to George having run about times outside if the cage.

A bunny can get very upset if he is in a cage all the time or most of the time, a dog crate or an X-Pen is great to let bunny run and play, 1.) Its bunny’s own area 2.) You know where bunny is, 3.) Bunny can play and do what he wants, I don’t know how easy it would be to convince your dad, what about mum? Could she talk to your dad? Or maybe grandma or granddad could have a little chat with him?
