I adopted Bugs about 2 months ago. They said he’s probably about 1-2 years old, not sure on breed. I’ve had Lola, my 9 month holland lop, since she was a couple weeks old.

I’ve never heard Lola thump, but Bugs thumps all the time!

The only info I found online says they do that when they are signaling danger. I can understand that sometimes I’ll frighten him when I go in the room and he gets scared and thumps. But I let them play around the house, even when it’s just me him and Lola, and will randomly hear him thump. I almost debated naming him thumper!

he thumps all the time even if the house is quiet and itsnjust him and Lola hopping around, do you think he really feels scared all the time? Or what else could that mean?

Some bunnies thump when they are scared, some thump when they are mad, others may thump when they want attention, and others may thump when they are overly excited It can be a bit hard to read why a rabbit is thumping, so youd have to investigate the situation before and during the times hes thumped to figure out why

My Blue thumps when hes sad or scared; my Bombur thumps only when he is absolutely terrified; my Badger thumps when he is excited and when he wants attention
