Hello everyone! I have an amazing neutered 2 year old Netherland Dwarf bunny named Bear who I rescued about six months ago (I teach at a high school where he was essentially abandoned in the Ag department for over a year. Ate nothing but unlimited pellets, hadn’t left the cage at ALL during that time, kids force feeding him chocolate and crackers …). I absolutely love him to bits, but he is CONSTANTLY demanding attention. Constantly. I can’t walk across the room without him circling my feet. He nips at my partner and pees wherever his scent might be left. If I’m lying in the bed, there he is, constantly begging and demanding attention, and getting crazy jealous of whenever anyone spends time with me. If my boyfriend tries to hug me, he’ll hop on top of his feet and nip his toes. It’s adorable, but I’m also worried I’m not providing him enough attention. I’ve been considering getting him a companion.

Any one have any thoughts? Do your bunnies demand attention so … aggressively? My other ND (who is not bonded to Bear) Hazel is totally the opposite. Tolerates pets on HIS watch, but is otherwise a total diva.

Is he definitely neutered? Circling is generally hormonal behaviour.

I’m so glad you rescued him from that horrible situation, poor little thing.

A companion might do him good. Could you try and bond him with Hazel, or is she already bonded?
